Works nice overall - except Gestures navigation

Works nice overall, really nice camera.But I REALLY REALLY miss the 2-button navigation that was available in Pixel 2 and Pixel 3. The Gestures navigation interferes A LOT with the gestures from other apps.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I absolutely love this phone! I've had the first Google Pixel for a while and this one is just like it, but even better! Still has some of the same cool features and some new ones, too. I don't really have anything negative to say about this phone. It's perfect for anyone that enjoys nice phones without the unnecessarily high price. The pictures look amazing and the speakers are loud
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor battery life

Won't last all day even with moderate use. Camera is pretty good.

Still learning

I am still learning how to get around but it is pretty easy. I like how you go back by sliding your finger from the right side of the phone or hold and slide up to find all the open windows. This is my first Pixel. So far, it is a great phone and am sure I will find it gets even better the more I learn.

4a with 5G a good fit

I switched from an Zenphone M1 to the Pixel 4a with 5G. Very happy to have done so. I had great difficulty getting the M1 to work with my hearing aids. I was limping along with a hand me up iPhone 5 from my daughter which I used as a hearing aid controller. But the battery was not keeping a charge and I knew the end was near. A friend of mine has a Pixel that he uses with his hearing aids ( the same ones I have) so I knew that the Pixel would work with mine. Not only does it work well with my hearing aids, it is also much faster. Since Google is the keeper of all things Android, you would expect their phones to run so much smoother on that platform. I am very happy with my choice.

Fantastic phone

Had a V60 before this, and it was a piece of trash, went to this phone for it's simplicity and it's far better than I thought. Better connection, feels snappier, weighs less, and is honestly just better.
I would recommend this to a friend!
