Better for newer homes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An installation process that should have been closer to 15 minutes, ended up taking my husband nearly an hour due to our older home's ancient wiring. This was no fault of the product but entirely due to our current wiring situation. At the end of the process we had to completely uninstall the Caserta Smart Switch though because the box that contains the smart switch components was too large to fit into the wall with all of the wires. We fought hard for an hour with it and had to reinstall the old switch in the end. I'm sure it would work great in a home with updated wiring, but it couldn't be installed for us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was easy to install with detailed instructions. You don’t need a lot of experience, just turn off the power and follow the steps. Works nicely just like my other switches in my home.

Easy to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a perfect idea, we have a ceiling fan that the switch is hard to get to, now with this Caséta wireless smart switch kit and the remote we can now turn the fan on and off much easier. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, making for an easy installation! I would recommend this to everyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is super easy to install. It fits in well with our other Lutron product to complete our rooms/set. The app is really easy to use and doesn't take forever to load. This is a really easy upgrade to make to your home. I would recommend adding these into youe house little by little.

Read requirements first!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This light switch took about an hour to install, and can be done by almost anyone who has access to Google. As a novice, I had no idea what the front of the box meant when it says neutral required. I found that out once I unscrewed and disconnected the old switch to realize that where I wanted to use the switch does not have a neutral connection. Bummer since I was hoping to have the switch to automate my front porch light. I tried looking through the company website if there was a workaround, but it’s not recommended to install without a neutral connection.
I ended up installing in a different location, and it functions as intended, and looks just like my other switches in color. The remote is a nice touch and the included cradle should be installed so you don’t lose the remote.
Make sure to pay attention to what is required before pulling everything out to install, and read through the included instructions. If the stars align for you and you are able to install, you will be happy with your new smart switch.

Easy to install, occasional flicker

We put it in a guest room so they can use the remote as needed too. It will occasionally, very dimly flicker right after being turned off or randomly. It's barely noticeable, though probably annoying when in the room

A very cool idea

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the idea of this switch in my hallway because my kids are always leaving the light on at night. This way I can just use the remote to turn it off without having to get out of bed in the middle of the night. It truly is convenient. The only issue we came across was the dual light switches at the ends of our hallway. Once installed, whichever switch you use to turn the light on is the same switch you have to use to turn it back off which is really annoying. My fiance thinks there is a way to fix it so we are still waiting till he gets time to figure it out, which I'm sure he will find a way! Just wish the instructions were more clear for this situation. I will update once we figure it out to hopefully save someone else some time!
