Good sound, but lacking visual feedback

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The soundbar and speaker are solidly built and sound pretty good. Setup was easy, but note that there are no cables provided in the box other than power, so you'll need additional cables to hook this up if you're not using bluetooth. It does say this on the front of the box, and it does mean you don't end up with a bunch of spare cables to throw in that huge box you have in the back room. You know the one. It has 3.5mm, hdmi and optical inputs - I used a spare hdmi cable to connect my TV to the soundbar. This worked well, as the TV recognized the soundbar and I can use the volume controls on the TV remote to control the soundbar itself.
One thing I think this soundbar is missing is visual feedback on the volume level. There's a single light on the front which changes color depending on what input is in use or if the device is on standby, and blinks if you use the remote. I can't tell what the volume level is until the movie or whatever starts playing, I have a different make of soundbar in another room that has a simple row of lights to gauge the volume level - it's a minor thing, but I like to know if I'm going to wake the house or not.
Subwoofer appears to connect to the bar via bluetooth. It showed up as a device on my phone before the bar did, and I was scratching my head over why I couldn't connect my phone to it until I noticed the 'sub' suffix on the name. Connecting to the right device worked great. I've had no problems with the bar losing connection to the subwoofer, which I've heard can be a common problem with systems like these.
Overall, it's ok - definitely better than the built-in tv speakers, but somewhat light on features.

Great sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a while back for my main TV. Have to say I was a little disappointed I couldn't use the Bluetooth option but that was my tvs fault. The soundboard and sub work great though even if I had to plug them in. The sound is very clear and crisp. At first we had a difficult time connecting the sub but when we turned off the soundbar it was connected. I would say anyone looking for better quality sound should check this out

It was Packaged nice. Easy to use and set up. HAS GREAT FEATURES. Showed this to some others and they also were impressed. No complaints so far from me. Time will tell after some use! Great product. Hopefully get to enjoy for a long time! Maybe even add another!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son could not run up the stairs fast enough to set up his new soundbar. He says it is by far the best sound quality he has ever experienced. He has used it for gaming, music, and movies. He loves how easy it is to switch from one use to another. He tells me the bass is absolutely incredible. The movie he watched the other night sounded like it was taking place in his room. It has been quite impressive so far. I will be buying this one for all of my boys now.

Great sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Never have I owned a Phillips owned product before. However, after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. It was super easy to set up and turns right on when I turn on my television. Gives great sound for gaming and for movies! Did not disappoint at all! The bass coming off the wireless sub was great too. Love that I can also hook up with HDMI and didn't have to worry about other unnecessary cords.

Beautiful bold sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Blue tooth wireless so I can stream from all my devices. I like it because it has a wireless subwoofer to add realistic sound to music and movies. I use the remote control with simple features and have good distance to the soundbar for easy access. You can mount the bar on a wall or put it on a table for great sound. It is compact and powerful you will really enjoy this sound. You can also buy a digital optical audio cable for TV and game cosoles really nice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We all know that TV video has improved greatly over the years. But what about the tv speakers? The sound speakers have not kept up with the technology. I was so disappointed until I got the Philips Soundbar Speaker and woofer. Now I hear great sound all the time. Easy to operate with the supplied remote control. Very easy to install, I did it myself. I'm so glad I bought this and would highly recommend this Sound Bar !!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been trying my new soundbar and it's pretty good. It's not been easy to get it to work exactly how I would like for it to but overall pretty good. I'm having a hard time getting it regulated to a stable sound. I have to adjust everytime I use it. I'm not sure if I just don't know how to get it right or if it just isn't working for me .At first it really sounded great with the surround sound speakers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
