[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's probably too early to write a review, but my T490 feels as a really good machine for work. No problem using Linux (Ubuntu) on it either, with a very smooth install. I've been passionate about Thinkpads for a long time, and I hope the T490 will show its best in the family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful display and solid construction. The keyboard has a good amount of resistance and typing feels immediately natural. As a linux programming workhorse, the T490 is a great choice. The only complaints I have are that I wish the battery lasted a bit longer and the CPU fan turns on more frequently than I expected.

Between the upgraded processor, graphics card, and ram, the laptop performs very well. Hard tasks on my previous computer run very well on my t490. Also I just found out today the laptop has windows hello which is the coolest thing ever. Thus, I would definitely buy or recommend Lenovo products.

Expected to love ThinkPad T490 but..The keyboard backlighting is not bright enough at all for night use and useless during the day. The black mat finish is very prone to fingerprint smears which looks yucky.
