[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Outside the minor changes that I have to get used to (for example, this laptop doesn't have F1-F12 buttons which I tend to use often) T490 laptop seems to be a great substitution to my older T430 model. It is quite powerful - I even can do some computations on it when I need something relatively doable on one machine and no ready connection to the cluster and still it is slimmer than T430 model. I didn't test it's battery well, since I didn't have to travel, but it seems to be clearly superior to the old model (as I hear it is sort of average in comparison to other available models). Generally, I find it a great cost-benefit offer and if I needed another such laptop I would definitely put this model as a clear favorite for a repurchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the best Lenovo T series I've used. As thin as the S version of the tanks they used to produce, but with all the power and notably connections. I've been using a different laptop brand for about 1/2 a decade, and am so happy to come back. I researched almost everything, and kept coming back to this laptop, so I took the plunge.Keyboard is responsive and satisfying- no flex or odd button placements. It has a physical camera shutter- no more black electrical tape. I picked up the better screen, and it is really something special. Can't fault Lenovo for Windows problems- I think we all know who to blame on that front. Hardware is quick and light- never gets too hot, and feels a third the weight of most "gaming" laptops. I didn't buy this for games, so I'm not too concerned about graphics, where I wanted the rest of the gaming laptop horsepower. This laptop delivers. I'm back on the Lenovo train.
