MANUFACTURER'S FAULT

I bought this laptop, it's in impeccable condition, charged with protective APC unit, and mother board burns, was warranted at the time, they repaired it, it burns a few months later again, this time smoking. Hardly used, only for a studies occasionally. It's a beautiful laptop but definitely has a manufacturer issue
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this is a nice looking streamlined laptop. It looks great outside but inside it's been a tad problematic from day 1. It seems to run pretty slow and I've had a ton of trouble getting it to connect to my network properly -had to consult an outside IT expert

Good machine with odd sleeping / waking habits

Some minor quirks I'm still trying to work around generally involve its wake / sleep behavior, incl attached peripherals, e.g.when an external LCD monitor goes to sleep the T490 tries to connect for a while and emits a series of beeps + boops for about 10 minutes. And waking the T490 sometimes requires a power button, though sometimes just requires touching a key or using my fingerprint. Lastly, when the machine does wake up, if the external monitor is connected all open windows are sized to one-eight of the monitor, and must be moved + re-sized across both monitors. Overall, though a good machine
