I have been buying inexpensive laptops for some time and while I felt like I was saving money, I hated the performance. I am glad I made the choice to spend a little more on a quality laptop. The t490 does anything I want it to. All of my old tasks that took forever are now done quickly and efficiently.
Compared to other devices in the same price range, I don't think any compare with the quality or features of ThinkPad. Instead of buying a new device every couple years, I expect this laptop to last me a very long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great little laptop. I bought two of them for my kids for virtual school, so far they have been great. I bought these because I can upgrade the ram later unlike the X1 Carbon which has soldered in memory.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The T490 is a great option for the office and one the road, the option to turn the display into a privacy display combined with the already installed camera slide makes this an awesome sidekick to your daily business life. The size of the touchpad makes it easy to use and reduces to need for an external mouse.
