[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this laptop for as little as one week and I already feel something special about it, it's like LENOVO surely was very mindful about their design choices. From the professional design look, the lightweight and resistant pieces to the best typing experience I've ever witnessed on any laptop, I am more than happy, I feel good for every penny spent here.
It came with Windows installed, so I easily shrank the partition and immediately setup my DUAL BOOT with an Elementary OS Linux distribution and things are running so smoothly! This laptop experience is highly customizable.
For example, the BIOS interface is very friendly, so you can tweak it and in a few moments you'll feel like things were made just for you. Do you want to swap the "Fn Key" with the "Ctrl Key"? In online reviews, this is one of the biggest complains about ThinkPads, but in less than a minute it can be solved, because in a click of a mouse anyone can toggle this very user friendly option in the BIOS and it's done.
In fact, these minor complains are the only bad things reviewers say about ThinkPads. This is my first ThinkPad and I am starting to understand in practice why this is such a traditional and successful series of LENOVO. Amazing SPECS, great resilience, quality pieces (keyboard, screen), highly customizable capabilities...

I was able to immediately jump in, adapt it with my own hot keys and programs, get rid of the cruft I didn't need (this is underrated in my opinion) and sail away righting scripts and programs.
