Good bang for buck printer ... Get an SD Adapter as the USB Micro input can get abused if being used by younger humans. Also, some feedback online suggesting the headed bed cable can wear and become detached, but I have not seen.
Used in a classroom setting regularly (x5 of them)

The printer worked fine right out of the box, and we successfully printed the cat. Currently, we are awaiting shipment of more filament to print other objects.
Suggestions for improvement: 1. Identify the extra parts that were shipped but not included on inventory list as described in instructions. 2. Update manual to replace warning on damaging “yellow tape” on print bed. There is no yellow tape, and we were unsure whether we could print directly onto the bed. 3. Instructions should include discussion of bed preparation and how to remove a completed print from the bed. It was very difficult for us, and we feared we had damaged the printer.

I've been surprised with the quality of the prints off this printer. a true masterclass in value engineering. The extruder design is also great

I bought this 3d printer for my son. When It came it with one part missing. The manual was out dated and when we printed anything it would stop and say finished.for all of these reasons I give it a one star.

I got the printer 3 months ago and printed some parts and I was happy with the printing results. After 2 months of usage and 25 printed items the on / off - switch failed. This must not happen after 2 months (loss of 2 stars). Now I bridged the switch.

Great Little Workhorse

This is the 3rd V2 I've purchased and the 4th Select Mini. They're great little printers once you get the bed leveled perfectly. The build sheets that come with them have amazing adhesion until they die. I've replaced all of mine with magnetic sheets but only after I finally killed off the stock sheets. The Select Mini is by far the most forgiving printer I've owned. I literally dropped my first one from chest height while moving and all it needed was the bed re-leveled when I plugged it back in. Out of 4 Select Minis in 3 years I've replaced 3 nozzles and 1 thermistor. 1 Creality in 1 year needed 2 nozzles (1 due to gitd filament), 1 extruder and 1 thermistor. All of that is not mentioning the ease of bed leveling. If you're printing minis or at least small prints for yourself and friends I'd definitely recommend getting the Select Mini. There is one definite flaw the the v2 however. The v1 will accept any size micro sd card while the v2 only accepts up to 2 gig. 2 gig cards are not only extremely difficult to find locally but much more expensive than their sdhc counterparts. Also charging an extra $20 for the black housing seems excessive.

Best Purchase ever

I have been wanting a printer for a long time and finally broke down and bought this thinking that it is cheap enough that if I don’t like it I am not at a huge loss. Well I have had it for a week and a half and probably have 50 hours of printing on it without an issue. I have printed all sorts of cool stuff and it has made prototyping my ideas way easier. This might have been one of the best purchases ever.
I like it so much I will probably be getting another monoprice printer in the near future.
