Two thumbs up!

I was a bit timid about jumping into the world of 3-D printing, but have been very pleased with our Monoprice Select Mini v2. It was pretty much ready to go out of the box. The only thing that needed to be done was levelling the bed (it was pretty off). You also need to be ready with a new roll of filament. The tiny sample that is included was just enough to print out the cat figurine...barely. We did watch several YouTube videos to learn how to use it. My kids and I have definitely enjoyed creating with it.

Beware

I want to rate this printer alot higher then I'm going to. Sadly I got it. First print failed. That was on me as I'm learning the software. But started the print again after some tinkering with the gcode and now the print bed temp is jumping from 100 to 400 degrees, might be an easy fix but as of right now it's unplugged and not in use. I'll gladly update my review once it's fixed and everything but right now with such high discrepancy in bed temp I don't know.
Buyers beware. It might work it might not. Such sadness

I must say I'm pretty impressed by the product. Worked flawlessly on the first go. The only caveat was the booklet that was sent with the printer refer to another model and stuff that were counterclockwise were in fact clockwise, but beside that, I can highly recommend this printer! Great stuff!

The only thing I would say is watch every build until the first layer is complete and check in every so often.

Mostly OK. It’s a good start.

My first impression was a good one. The prints seem to be of a good quality. This has as much to do with the slicer as the printer, however. I was disappointed to find that the App mentioned in the manual is no longer available. So, the documentation is out of date and incomplete. The construction is good. Setup was easy. Monoprice just needs to bring the product in line with their advertising, because the printer is not WiFi ready. It can only be networked with 3rd party products at additional expense. I would give 5 stars, but for these issues.

Good little printer overall satisfied.

As my first 3D printer, I am happy with the product. Some prints can be difficult to remove from.the bed. The plastic spreader/scraper included is not very sharp for getting under prints, and nicks easily. Not every SD card will work. Have not tried wifi, so unsure if I can print from remote. But, even if I could, you need to verify the printer is clean and ready so not a big deal.

A very good starter machine

I've had this machine for 2 years now and couldn't be happier about it. In my time with it, I printed out countless parts for various projects and with regular maintenance, it keeps working as if it was just out of the box.
The only thing I find challenging with this printer is bed leveling. In my case, my print bed warped after a while (never was able to figure out if this was factory of a natural issue), but after wrestling with it for a while I was able to fix this.
Also, a quick note for the beginning 3D printers -- don't forget to change your nozzles regularly. :)
