Not reliable...

It works great at first but last about 3 to 4 months then stop working. After testing all wires, it was obvious it was the box. So i used the warranty to get a new one which you pay for shipping and they want you to ship the defect too. You pay for that too. Received the new one and same thing happened, 3 to 4 months later, it died again.
Save yourself the hassle, get something else.

Waste of money. You can literally plug the USB from the astro base into the back of your PS5 and it will work.

ASTRO HDMI adapter for PS5

Got this adapter in March 2021 and still going strong. Originally, I had it plugged into the PS5 through a USB hub (PS5 didn’t have enough USB for all my accessories). It suddenly started having issues (wasn’t detecting my monitor, flickering screen and shuts off on its own) about 5 months later. I decided to used one of those iPhone charger and plugged it into my power bar. VOILA it solved the issues.
I hope ASTRO make a new one that supports HDMI 2.1.
I would recommend this to a friend!
