I purchased the first one at the end of November and was only putting in 4 sheets a paper at a time, it jammed so I reversed it and then it stopped taking paper all togeather. I had to return to get another one.
Pros: Mess Reduction, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs
Cons: Jam Resistance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for shredding a few sheets of paper and it actually is quiet. Love the safety lock. It's lightweight and does so much. Perfect for personal use at home.

I like the fact that the machine doesn't run when paper is not being fed into it. Others run constantly until you unplug it. I also like the cross shred feature. It allows the paper to be completely destroyed, which is what we want! The top part is which shreds is heavy and substantial. It seems as if it is built for durability. I am happy with my purchase!

Manageable and easy to use, I only suggest you mention upfront the limited number of pages it can shred per day/hour.
