Unexpected demise of Powershred7C

Purchased the shredder on 1/12/18 and performance has been more than satisfactory. However, on Nov.1, 2018 the bottom basket suddenly suffered severe cracking on the left front corner and across the bottom and tossing a small (1"x1") piece of plastic on the floor and jamming the shredder so that it would not operate in any mode. The shredder was only used by my wife and I and neither of us can remember any droppage or abuse. Although the shredder is one of your smaller models, thought you would be interested in this occurrence. Ed Gotta - Nokomis,Florida

Purchased 1 day ago. Haven't used it but 1 time but it seems to be very quiet, Like the fact that you can lock it from little hands.
Pros: Jam Resistance, Quality Construction, Quiet Operation, Safety Features, Secure Cut Size, Service Guarantee, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs, Warranty
Cons: Sheet Capacity, hard to find information on box to register

Best Shredder

I purchased the 7C to replace a cheaper model that "just died" for no reason. This 7C is quiet, takes up to 7 sheets and very easy and safe to operate. It was worth paying a bit more for a much better brand and model. Highly recommend this for home use.

I used it for the first time and it worked for about 20 min and then overheated. It also jammed up. I was only putting through 2 to 3 pieces of paper at a time. I managed to get it unjammed and after 2 more uses, it overheated. I had to unplug it and put it away to cool off, unable to finish my project.

Our 7c shredder is designed for smaller shred jobs and is meant to shred up to 7 sheets for 4 minutes before needing a cool down period. Works great for lots of shredding.

I liked it the first time I used the C7. I was happy on how fast I could put more sheets in than the last shredder I had. I also was pleased how it cleans itself after each shred. It made me feel ok with shredding so much at one time. I like the little window on the front. It really helps you to see how much you have shredded. The last shredder didn't have that and you had to take the shredder off. The C7 saves me time of doing that. I would recommend this product to anyone I see at the store looking for a great and easy to use shredder.
