The instructions were glued to the French instructions.After several attempts, I was able to read the instructions and the assembly was very successful. I just shredded a few papers and was very happy with the results. My only complaint with the operation was " Do I need to install a bag to catch the trash ???". I must complain about the registering the purchase. I am a senior out of the technical field for several years and am not as technical as before. I found "trying to submit the review was extremely user unfriendly and confusing" Other than these minor problems I was very satisfied. Thank you Roger Fallon

We do not recommend the use of a bag since the unit does not feature a bin full sensor. The large window allows the user to easily see when it is time to empty the basket. I have owned Fellowes in the past because they are a pleasure to use. Actually, I look for items to shred, so it helps me keep up to date and keeps me organized :-) . Who would think???? This micro cut shredder is amazing. It's quiet and I LOVE IT !!!!!! Thank you Fellowes....thank you!!!!!!

It's easy to use and does the job it was intended for, however I would have preferred if it had a loading tray!
