I purchased the Motorola One 5G to replace my previous Motorola 5G Plus that was 4 years old and which I dropped and it cracked the screen so finally had to replace it. I am very hard on cell phones dropping them, traveling with them, ect. In fact, I spent 1 month in the Amazon Jungle with my Motorola 5G Plus using Solar Powered recharger climbing to to top of hills to get signal. The Motorola technology is my go to tech for cell phones. I purchased the new Motorola One 5G, knowing that I would be happy with the quality, but was not sure I would like the new form factor. The Motorola One 5G is slightly longer than the previous 5G Plus. I was fearfull it would be to long and that it wouldn't fit into my back pocket or that it would just be to long in general. But, when I laid them side by side, the Motorola One 5G is only about 1/2 inch long. It turns out, I really like the longer form factor. The screen actually consume much more of the face of the phone providing a much better user experience. The Motorola One 5G come with Android 10, which although has a little bit of a learning curve, is really enhanced with some nice new capabilities. Overall I am very satisfied with the Motorola One 5G. The only recommendation I will make is to make sure you get a good drop case that has gripping. The phone is very slippery without some type of drop case and grip support. Otherwise this is an awesome phone. It has a lot of new features that I am still learning, but I am certain I will get many years of life out of this product.

Really good phone. Only flaws for me is flashlight not as bright as I would like and does not have wireless charging. Apart from that it's a really good phone. I love, love, love, the motorola gestures.

I'm a senior and find this phone to be very user-friendly. It has tons of usable features that I like. The phone is heavy and can slip out of your hand easily. That's the only downside that I've found. I think Motorola makes very sturdy and reliable radio and telephone equipment. So I'm really pleased with my new Moto 5G Ace!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Underwhelmed

I've had the 5G Ace for a few weeks now and the experience is not what I hoped for an upgrade to my G7 Power. The charging cable does not stay attached (whether it is the included factory cable or a brand new Anker cable), which is especially annoying when driving. Touch inputs are sometimes slow to respond, so changing between apps takes additional taps, target than two.
The camera is definitely improved, but getting it to focus on the correct spot is sometimes maddening when trying to hold the phone stay with one hand and tap the screen with the other... Only to find the focus isn't where the screen was tapped.
Battery life is not as good as the G7 Power, which is to be expected, given the increase in processor speed, RAM and screen size/brightness. That being said, the performance isn't proportional to the loss of battery longevity.
I'm debating on whether to return this, as the Pixel 4a 5G does everything this device does... At close enough to the same price. I'm glad I was able to try the device upon release, but underwhelmed so far.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wonderful Upgrade
