A lot of program errors.

TurboTax conveniently transfers certain data from the previous year’s tax return however; when transferring our 2016 information from our 2015 amended return, TurboTax transferred income and expenses from the previous year which could lead to reporting the wrong information to the IRS and State.
When depreciating assets in TurboTax Business 2016, the program provided contradictory explanations regarding the allowable depreciation amount based on business use percentage (BUP) however; when adjusting the BUP on the Asset Entry Wks in Forms mode, the allowable deduction changed and TurboTax provided less of a deduction when the BUP was less than 100%.
• When taking the path which allows TurboTax to select the best depreciation method, the provided explanation indicated that you could only deduct up to the business use percentage. • When taking the straight-line depreciation path, the program stated that “Depreciation on the listed property is not limited because the business use is greater than 50%.
When removing the assets from our 2015 return (because we track them in Excel rather than TT), TurboTax did not include IRS Form 4562 in the amended return and it had to be printed separately and merged into the return using Foxit PDF.
When entering our 2016 income into TurboTax Business, TurboTax automatically chooses “Yes” to the question “Did you dispose of any assets in 2016?” even though we didn’t dispose of any assets. I confirmed this also occurs in the 2015 version as well.

Why is this still a separate desktop application?

I don't understand why I still need to download a separate piece of software to do business taxes for a multi-member LLC, and why the existing online products are so confusing in terms of whether they support small businesses or not. It's time to move Turbotax into the current decade.

First time doing my taxes as a corporation, and this software made it a breeze to go over just as I do with using Turbo Tax for individual returns.

Product needs serious improvement

My experience was lousy in filing a Trust Tax return. Here's what needs to happen to make this product worth what you charge. Make it available online at the same site I use to file my personal tax return. Do not force me DOWNLOAD the darn thing. The download took way too long, and is a hassle. The product did not contain a place to add income from a 1099-R form. Add that.
Lastly, save the finished return to the normal Intuit site, so the program can find it the next year easily. Today, the program could not find the Trust return I filed last year on this very computer! I'm an experienced financial services professional, and I'm quite comfortable with technology. This product is a pain to work with. Please improve it.

Turbo Tax for Business - once good now below avera

After having used TurboTax Business a few years ago for a prior business of ours, this year we started anew company and when we went to do our business taxes ourselves, we ran into problems. What was once a decent program is riddled with glitches and errors and a couple of huge problems I can't believe exist. 1st - Unbelievable that TurboTax still has not integrated with QuickBooks Online. Intuit pushes the online version of its software, but never mentions you won't be able to import the data into TurboTax for Business, which is a desktop only product, so you have to manually enter ALL data or convert you online to a desktop version of QB. 2nd - Be prepared for the review to find errors for blank required entries, which it never seems to cover through the process and requires SEVERAL "reviews" to ensure you've covered them all. Each time finding a new one. 3rd - Keep emailing me a coupon for purchase, but only after I've already purchased Fed and State filing. WHY? and gee thanks for rubbing in my face I could have got a discount had I waited a week. Not going to cover all of the issues, While it gets the job done, leaves a great deal to be desired. Will be looking for another option next year. Sad too, because the personal version is better.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

A bit of a struggle with QBI, not a normal situation, but I made it work. Did not print enough information for beneficiaries concerning QBI, but again I made it work. I do appreciate Turbo Tax.
