Good Product, a Few Areas for Improvement

I really like Turbo Tax Delux. Turbo Tax Business is a little more rough around the edges - especially with State returns. It instructs you to review the return for errors, but does not call out which answers are suspect. Also, there are a couple of pages at the end, when you must approve to submit, that the button is hidden so far down at the bottom of the screen, that is super difficult to actually click on. Its a miracle that I could.

Can be difficult to understand

after completing the taxes, I usually understand the return much better than having someone do it for me.

Not much guidance for trusts

I am filing a trust return. There is very little guidance in the step by step pages. One example is the Tier One and Tier Two distribution page. The terms are not defined and the amount to enter is not explained. I had to go to IRS instructions to figure it out and if I'm going to do that, what is the point of paying over $100 for this product?

Was not able to authenticate when using and not able to purchase the State return. This is not acceptable we will definitely look into an alternate solution next year.

Turbo Tax Business LLC Is Good

Overall a very good program for a simple business tax return preparation. I am an accountant and somewhat knowledgeable about business taxes and I found the program easy to use for the most part. At times the explanations via help or bubbles was not detailed enough to assist with a decision on what, or how, to complete the line or the form, especially when using the "step by step" feature. I felt the guidance could have been more robust.

you did not print my state tax forms. you cut me out of sections i needed to redo. you made it hard to go back and make corrections.
