TurboTax leaves you hanging way too much

Kept getting weird messages about errors and then got thrown into the weeds of random forms, with no guidance of how to complete them. Then after stumbling through all of that, when I tried to e-file, it kept insisting there was a still some error on the Question K section of the CA return saying there was a name field that needed to be filled in, but when I filled it in and tried to e-file again, it then said there was an error and that the name field should be left BLANK! So which is it, TurboTax?? Now I can't e-file my state return due to this idiocy. Very buggy and non-user friendly software, very disappointed. Will not use this product anymore.

TurboTax is comprehensive

I've used TurboTax for years for both personal and business taxes. It's a solid product and excellent for beginners. The import from QuickBooks to TurboTax is not as seamless as it should be - every time I re-import I'm asked the same questions about the same data fields.

The program is very detailed and reviews all entries and possible tax savings scenarios several times during the entry process. I'm in my 17th year with TurboTax and it is getting better every year. Keep it up!

Very hard to track down what magic juice TT is doing. The "data source" feature in forms hardly ever works. The forms mode is weak.
Even basic features like importing data or 1099-NEC that work in Deluxe don't work in Business.

NOT user-friendly for 1041 estate return

Have used TT for years to prepare 1040, and happy with it.
NOT as good of a product for #1041 estate return. Lacks clarity of estate items vs. beneficiary items. Refers to "you". Is that the estate, executor, or beneficiaries?? Instructions/hints are lacking especially for Sched D stock sales.

No Mac version - ridiculous

It's really annoying that for many years now, this program has no native Mac version. It has to run on Windows. With the millions of Mac users running their entire businesses on Macs, there is no excuse for this.

still missing some basic forms

Question during setup: "Is attaching Form 8996 to certify as a Qualified Opportunity Fund?"... then no reference to this during step-by-step, or help, or online, and help for this question is ... not helpful.
