Turbo Tax for Business Desktop Needs WORK!

It doesn't play well with Quickbooks, who knew? It doubled a lot of imported information. NEVER import. Do it by hand it will save you days.
I had to file for an extension, I still not sure if TT filed the extension. It basically made me complete my tax returns before I think it filed the extension, maybe. The entire reason to file the extension is because the Taxes were not getting filled out properly. At the minimum you should be warned if they are going to make you fill out the entire forms anyway. I felt like I was in the twilight zone.
I just tried to file my taxes. Federal went through but Turbo Tax seems to have totally forgotten about the STATE Taxes.
I love TT for my personal taxes. For my Business Taxes it's meh.

Good for New Businesses

I've used Turbo Tax in the past for personal but this is my first time using the business software. I was able to take the information I have in Quickbooks and enter it. A few items were not clear so I have to do further research outside of the Turbo tax forum.

Put the sense back into TurboTax!

Due to all of the rounding discrepancies created by TurboTax, we can't reconcile our income, retained earnings or balance our balance sheet. Please put the sense back into TurboTax and STOP ROUNDING off the cents when the amounts are entered into TurboTax. HELP us to make sense of the reconciliation process in TurboTax by making sure that amounts entered match the amounts in QuickBooks right down to the penny!

It will get the job done

It will get the job done but not friendly with changing information. Sometimes you need to change the previous year's info and you don't know it until you are almost done with the current year. You also need to have your tax line items mapped before you import. It assumed one of my imports and I couldn't change. I just canceled the import. It was also not helpful with credits. I just tell you to open a form if you need additional credits. If you aren't an accountant you don't know what credits you need.
