TurboTax is terrible

TurboTax is famous for its loops, many of which are impossible to get out of. (A good example is the "print to mail --> choose method of filing" loop.) Unfortunately, the old loops around for years (decades?) are still there along with the new ones added each year.
Many TurboTax data gathering questions do not match the IRS tax forms, such as the missmatch of Line 17 1120-S K-1's.
The search feature is getting better but still falls in the "basically worthless" category.

Irritating bugs in tax year 2020

1. Details for 2nd Tier Income Distribution shows blank, altho information was entered previously. Ctrl-I brings up corredt details, but closing still shows blank Have to enter something in detail sheet for total to roll into summary box.
2. No way in Step-by-step to inclouded addtional information on Form K-1 (for example Box 14-Z). Also no suggestion that the user should go to Forms view to handle that.
3. Electives says "Sec 663" even though I try to say No, there are no electives.
4. On K-1, Box 14-I says statement, but there is not one that is printed with the Form K-1 for distribution to beneficiaries.

Pretty good software

I had a small S-Corp business with less than 10 depreciable assets. Covid impacts closed the business and I filed the final return. The disposing of assets and accumulated depreciation was tricky. But previous accounting files and learning online helped paved the way to clarity and a thorough final tax return. Will use again. You can never have enough accounting knowledge, regardless of the software. The cons: Migration from quickbooks online is not possible....that was a big kick to the face. So I had to purchase quickbooks desktop and migrate over to the desktop version. Then the desktop version had a few issues uploading into Turbotax Business. Keep trying the upload and google for help and it will eventually work. All-in-all the only complaint I have is migrating and importing issues. Thanks for saving me hundreds processing the final return for my closed business.

Turbo Tax is okay

It is okay, but it is not as user friendly as it claims to be, and it seems to me that it is a little over-priced for what you get. I own my own business, and due to a serious illness I had to drop down to part-time... I really could have used support, but couldn't afford to pay the extra fee.
