Turbo tax is horrible

Terrible waste of money and time for a trust

Program is so poorly written and presented. A pro would not use it and a novice (not just a beginner) will wrestle with it for many hours.
So many bad things to say about TT for business... for trusts.
Just absurd that the program would ask *me* to decide if I needed to file specific forms with ZERO explanation of what they are... no hyperlink... no popup.. nothing.
So... for those of you who may need this... I googled each form and gave my interpretation of that form's application below.
TT knew that my trust didn't run a business of any sort, so I can't imagine why it would ask me if I needed to file these things.
Remember... all TT asked me was "Do you need to file form 720?"

TurboTax allows me to do complex tax returns

TurboTax preserves my historical tax return data in a consistent manner - better than changing preparers! Tax law has evolved quickly in recent years, and TurboTax keeps up. For base cases, the Step-by-Step mode has worked well. Except for odd corner cases (e.g., IL business taxes for non-residents), TurboTax has been flexible enough (at least in Forms view) to fill in the forms correctly.

For the love of God, next year I'm using an accountant... You did not help me at all with NY state taxes, I spent 3 hours trying to figure out what things meant. I still don't know if its correct but I did my best, and could have just downloaded the NY State tax documents myself, and actually did have to with a IT-182 form that had nothing to do with the estate.... your software failed me big time!!!!!
