Error on the software on CT3s on NYS

Please correct the error on the software on NY State which refers to Line 54 instead of Line 55 for completing Line 22 on Part 3. Love your tax software for individual returns but found the S Corp software very basic, expensive and not user friendly.

I liked using the software. Only 2 small complaints - when entering member percentages for loss, profit, and ownership percentage, data was not saved no matter how many times I entered it. Luckily I corrected it at the end when they found it as an error. Also, after errors were fixed, I went to save the return and only then did it mention that I still had errors - too late I guess!
Pros: My employment status changed this year

TurboTax business is great for trust tax returns

I file 2 trust tax returns that are mostly straight forward but I own a few Master Limited Partnerships that issue form K-1s. These have tax advantages but make the returns more difficult to prepare. TurboTax does an excellent job in reporting the various items reported on the K-1s. It also does an excellent job of bringing forward all relevant data from last years returns.

State module not as helpful

While I have used TurboTax federal and state modules for Business and Personal versions for over 15 years, I think the state modules (In my case, NY and PA) are not helpful. For example, PA module for business state tax said no errors on review but said there are errors while printing. Only when I went to Form method, I found the errors and I had to manually fix them after reading instructions. That is what Step-by-step method was supposed to do!! So,it always leaves a gnawing feeling that something is amiss. In short, TurboTax is not as good for state modules.

As I stated in a review with the "tax Expert" Your software dill not e-file due to the Company PR on form 1065 will not allow you to change or delete it. so when you run error check it shows up as an error. Its not because I am not an entity. When you change it it says you can't because I am not an entity. Gee something right. So now I have to mail taxes and trust the postal service not to mess up. Thank you for very little. I will be not renewing my subscription to Turbo Tax

TurboTax is a good product but after you have filed your taxes you'll still be unsure if you got it right.
