Great software

this year there was an error in state. It checked a box on form 100 (CA) that business is new. I did not check that box and it was not asked until the review. Also last years taxes was transferred.

Very hard to use.

Product does not pull 1099 trades from brokers. You have to them individually or enter summary information. When entering summary information the product tells you that it will collect a PDF of your summary at efiling time. It has no way that I can find to do this. Searching the web for answers gives conflicting answers. The filing instructions of the product claim "We will guide you through this process at filing time". It doesn't.

Turbo Tax disappointed this year

Our taxes were filed late. I could not electronically file until GA was filed and Turbo Tax had a loop regarding a film tax credit that would not let me file. We are not a production company. I was not permitted to file federal taxes either.

Mostly very easy to use

I like the way Turbo Tax walks me through the information and lets me switch to the actual form. Sometimes it refers to schedules that are very difficult to find. It took me hours to find California Schedule EO - it was buried within another form.

Bugs in the Virginia State Return

I got caught in a loop where Turbo Tax wouldn't allow the return to be filed without completing VA Form 502A, which didn't apply to my company. Thank goodness for the online chat room where another user was able to explain how to override the program.

TT Business 2020 needs some work

It is obvious that TurboTax for personal returns gets a lot more time and resources and is a great product. TurboTax Business 2020 (& previous years) is not nearly as good as the personal products. Missing forms, no online version, limited support for the business product.
