While I use for business and personal I find TurboTax a great in home tax professional that has been virtual before it was ever as popular today.

Easy for a first time LLC filer! They make it easy to understand and have very helpful tips! I would use them again and again.

Great, but could use (even) more guidance

It does a very good job, especially considering that accounting is not my strong suit. The only short-coming is that it will occasionally ask a question without explaining it to those like me, e.g. by giving a form # or a technical term I don't know.

Easier than trying to interpret IRS instructions

Like I said, this is far easier than trying to interpret IRS instructions, although it is not quite up to the level of the Home versions of the software.

So flawed!

Oh, TurboTax (Business), how disappointed I am with you, let me count the ways:
(1) no ability to download 1099-DIV data electronically from financial institutions, as can be done with TurboTax Personal (online);
(2) no option in the normal flow to apply tax overpayment as credit to next year; was able to correct this by editing form directly, but then the estimated tax forms weren't automatically adjusted and so were incorrect;
(3) even though there was no trust beneficiary distribution and I checked that no K-1 was needed/desired, you error and require all beneficiary info for the unneeded K-1 to be entered anyway, including sensitive SSN data;
(4) even though I checked that the K-1 was undesired, you still included it in my tax return;
(5) when processing 1099-B stock sale info, you require an acquisition date for short term sales even when there is none provided (Box 1b is empty) and refuse to proceed without that; I had to switch to "summary" mode to be able to proceed;
(6) once in 1099-B "summary" mode (see #5), you promised to prompt for an attachment for the required statement of sales details before filing the return, but you never did! Also, once "summary" mode is selected, there is no way to go back and switch back to the regular detailed mode;
(7) You require the entry of certain unnecessary data, like EFTPS confirmation #s for past estimated tax payments and trust fiduciary SSNs even though that data does not need to be included in the tax return sent to the IRS. This wastes time to gather & enter unneeded data and increases security/privacy/fraud risks by needing to save sensitive SSN data unnecessarily.
The list goes on and on. Such a waste of money!

irratating errors

equipment rental from quickbooks is transferred over as rental property. Even deleting the rental property section in Turbo Tax it still later fills it in again.
