State Software is disappointing and underwhelming

The State software is not on the same level as the Federal software - very disappointing. The software felt more like dictation than a resource.

I couldn't do without it!

I use TurboTax for our small c corporation and our personal taxes. The program tells me what forms I need to get started and then once I begin the program, it's very easy to enter the information. It saves depreciation and amortization schedules. It fills in complicated and confusing mathematical equations and simplifies the governmental language that makes taxes so frustrating. We rely on TurboTax every year! It definitely is a lot better than paying for a CPA and I don't have to travel to and fro for documents and signatures.

Turbo Tax Fiduciary could be better

I invest and trade stocks. All Schedule D transactions must be added manually. There is no TXF file input, no input from Quicken, no input from a financial institution. The foreign tax credit forms could be improved also.

Can't do this again next year:/

Really can't believe I can't connect or upload from Quickbooks Online or Quickbooks Mac. The interface is antiquated, and simple steps turn into hours-long research projects. Also really struggled to include my state return because of a glitch that's been recurring for over a year (finally just caved and purchased the state product twice).

Business state program not worth the money

near disaster with federal efile

TurboTax Business did NOT efile my federal at the same time as my state. Thankfully I doublechecked it. I had to remove the state form to get the federal to efile after the state. Business is less friendly to use than Home and Business. It often requires direct form edits, even for a simple 1041 Trust Fiduciary filing.
