Form 1065 and Form 1041

TurboTax needs to improve the treatment of the FTP tax credit. The input doesn't carry over well to Form 1116. It is especially difficult with FTP information from a K-1. I struggle with this every year. It also doesn't work well on Form 1040. Otherwise I'm happy with the TurboTax Business product. I use it for a family partnership (investments) and a Trust.

Turbo Tax Is Awesome!

I have used Turbo Tax for personal, investment, business, and now entity tax purposes and it never lets me down. I get what I need with excellent record keeping.

Does Intuit have ANY plans to fix the 1065 Partner

Does Intuit have ANY plans to fix the 1065 Partnership error that has existed for 2 filing years now? It took me to the page where you have to enter a personal representative for the partnership. After I entered all the information it say it requires, it then runs the error check again and would not let me e-file because it NOW says all the information I just entered for a personal representative cannot be entered since the partner filing the return.

It worked as expected but I had to clear and start over after ownership work sheet got corrupted and there was no way to fix it. Hence the 4 stars.

Turbo Tax is frequently exasperating.

Turbo Tax often sticks you in hopeless corners. Several traits that it's had for years and they can't seem ever fix are:
On reviewing it will go to someplace it thinks there's a problem and leave it you to guess what it might be. Over and over.

If during interview mode you go off on a tangent to see what that question is about then decide it doesn't apply to you and you back out to bypass that train of the interview. Subsequently you will be hit by review errors because Turbo Tax checked boxes on forms you visited but was too stupid to uncheck them as you backed out.
Often after fighting with all this you "review" half a dozen times then finally proceed to "submit". Halfway thru the submit process, "We found some issues!! We need to review again." Really? How can this be possible? We already passed the review a bunch of times.

TurboTax worked very well with transferring info to populate my form from last year and the pros who called me back with answers to my questions helped me finish much faster than I expected!
