Turbo Tax for Business was easy to use

Turbo Tax for Business was easy to use and cost effective. Great choice for a simple return. As our business becomes more complex I'm not sure if I will use Turbo Tax or not.

Not what I expected from Intuit

I have 6 companies, all of them using QuickBooks online. I love QuickBooks online and had anticipated a seamless upload to TurboTax. Imagine my surprise to see that TurboTax QB uploads are only available for desktop QB. In order to do the upload from QB online, I would need to download and setup a trial version of QB desktop, export the data from QB online, import the data into QB desktop, map the data for QB desktop, verify account balances (since the excel export does not roll retained earnings, all revenues & expenses are treated as current items), verify customer data, verify vendor data, etc. Seems like a lot of hassle for a company (QB) that is constantly pushing customers to use the online version. Don't get me wrong, I love the online version. I just wish it was compatible with TurboTax Business....

Easy to use and great results. I have never had a issue while using TurboTax. It helps me keep the Tax Man away.

Turbo Tax Business

The only trouble I had was the balance sheet. Other than that everything went smoothly.

A bug that cost me 2 hours - But otherwise good.

During the question section I selected the box that I already filed the S-Corp option, but TurboTax wanted me to fill out the form 2553 right before e-filing. There is such a thing as thorough testing before releasing to the paying public. The work-around was uploading a page "This Page Intentionally Left Blank" in place of the form 2553.

Most likely correct, but unnerving to get there!

This program ties a lot of stuff together, and I've been trusting it for more than 10 years.
This year, for some reason, I had to battle with special allocations. Also, the program took a couple of assets out of the QuickBooks balance sheet (!!!) and included them in the return, causing an error (I'm not required to include a balance sheet in my return). It gave me the feeling that there was a bug somewhere in the program. I eventually got everything straightened out so the assets didn't show up, but it's terrifying. I just want my taxes to be correct and stay under the radar of the IRS.
