Easy to use for a real estate company and a trust.

Turbo Tax does a good job guiding you through the steps needed to complete a return. It is best to have reasonable knowledge of income taxes to handle the errors Turbo tax prompts you to resolve before completing a return.. Had a problem using Turbo Tax to handle the tax credit for Employee Retention Tax Credit. Still do.

Turbotax Business 2020 full of Problems

After downloading TT Business 2020 and entering all the required information, I ran checks on both the federal & state returns without any errors. When it came to filing both state & federal returns using e-file, the program told me that the Intuit Center was unable to transmit the returns because the season was not open yet, even though it is March 4th. When I decided to print the returns and mail them instead, the program asked me if I wanted to continue because there were errors in the returns. I ran the return check two more times and the program did not find any errors. There are definitely several bugs in this program that need to be fixed!!

Decent software for filing LLC returns

Business tax version is not quite as polished as TurboTax Premiere but it gets the job done. You may find the need to search the internet to understand some of the questions.

Turbo Tax did not load properly.

The copy did not load properly. It would not run the update until I deleted the first copy and reload it again. I kept waiting for the update and it did not send it to me. I had to work around the problem. This is not a typical TURBOTAX problem.

Good... But Needs Improving

TurboTax Business needs to include more details for converting commercial rental buildings from individual ownership to a multi-member start up LLC when the amortization for depreciation stays the same. For example, wife and her sister inherited an office/warehouse building in 1995. Converted to LLC in 2020. TurboTax tried to put assets into Section 179 and didn't account for depreciation already amortized. Has to manually correct on forms.
