Stylish and multifunctional

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time using an air purifier so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ll start with my first impressions. When unboxing the Pure Fan I was surprised by how heavy and large it was. When I opened up the purifier (to make sure the prefilter was in there - even though it came with a spare), I realized the bulk/weight likely from the main filter inside. Other than that, I found it more stylish than your typical fan. The chic wood legs and the leather holder on top give it a definitively high end minimalistic appeal. Now on to performance, the fan operates at three different speeds, so if you’re looking for purification without fanning, I would use it at the lowest speed. The fan was pretty quiet and within about 15 minutes the air felt cleaner and fresher. It reminded me of when I would visit the country and the air felt clean. I like that this is a multifunctional item - that you can use it as a fan and air purifier or for both. I do wish there was some indication of it’s energy efficiency, built in air quality monitor, as well as a timer function. I also think it would be ideal if they came up with a less boxy, taller version of this. In theory, a taller narrower version of this would allow the fanning to have more coverage, plus it wouldn’t take up as much square footage. The weight isn’t really an issue - and probably more an asset, since there is less concern of it toppling over. I do overall like the Pure Fan. It’s stylish, clearly built of quality materials and is made by a company who specializes in air purifying. Makes me feel like this Pure Fan delivers better air quality than others.

Cleaner Air, Easy to Use, and Quiet - Great Fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Blue Pure fan has been a great option to circulating AND CLEANING the air around the house. With pollen season still going on I think this is the perfect time to start using this. There are a lot of reasons to like this fan. First of all, it’s set up and ready to go out of the box. Plug in and turn on. The modern looking fan has a sleek leather handle on the top which makes it easy to move around the room. The two prefilters it comes with are easy to change out and they are machine washable which is awesome. I can always have one ready to go by alternating them. It comes with a black and blue one. I like that it has color options but I don’t really feel it adds to the quality or aesthetic look of the fan unless the fan is set where you see the back of it. The back of the fan easily comes off so you can change the filters in it. I know this may sound crazy but I really like the knob on the fan. You just have to tap it turn it on and adjust the speed. No more turning the knob or it coming off like other fans have done. It also lights up so you know what speed you’re on but the light dims down after so it won’t bother at night if you have it in a bedroom. The sound the fan makes is there but faint. It’s not anything like a loud box fan. I find that after it’s on for a few minutes, I don’t even notice it. It’s that background white noise so many people enjoy. This is a fan that needs to be at the top of your consideration list when you want air circulation, white noise, and cleaner air free from dust, pollen and dander in your home.

Great Fan with Mid-Century Styling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nicely designed fan with attractive mid-century styling. It's larger than expected but blends seamlessly into the room - much better than the obtrusiveness of other options. It comes with a pre-filter on the back that should extend the life of the primary filter. We use it in a bedroom for white noise at night and it works great. There's a small indicator light on the top of the unit that remains on when it's in operation; it dims after selecting the fan speed but it would be even better if there was an option to turn it off completely.

Modern, minimalist, beautiful and efficient!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Blue by Blueair Pure Fan is by far the most aesthetically pleasing appliance I've ever seen. I proudly keep it in the center of our living room. It magically pulls cat hair from the air and keeps the house smelling clean. I also find it is sufficient to keep me cool without running the a/c.
A few features that I really love:
- So sleek and wipes clean
- Powerful, while still quiet
- 2 filters - Custom secondary filter that is machine washable (I'm partial to the gray, but it came with a blue backup)
- 3 levels of speed, all tap controlled with a built-in light
- Top handle for easy maneuvering and repositioning

I seriously never thought I would wax poetically about an air filtration system, yet here we are! My home is cooler, smells better and has less cat hair.

I purchased this fan about one month ago. It is unlike any other fan I have ever purchased. It is a small fan/combination air purifier that is great for one room.
I have used this fan in my kitchen on my counterop and in my guest bedroom, sitting on top of a low dresser. It cools down a smaller room and purifies larger dust particles while running.
My only suggestion to Blueair would be to place the on/off control on the side instead of on top and to include a slightly longer cord.

We have had the larger model (211) since 2017. We added this smaller fan+filter model this year. Both have made a huge difference in surviving this fire season with the resulting toxic air.
The smaller unit allowed us to be in separate parts of the apartment for work during Covid19 shelter at home.

I bought this fan about a month ago at the beginning of an early wildfire season and ensuing smoke with poor to dangerous air quality that has continued to be part of daily life.
I’m so grateful to be comfortable in my home with fresh and moving air and that the fan is light weight and portable enough to move room to room. I also like that I can wash the prefilter.
