Good Car Seat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a good car seat, I like the option for the adjustable base. We didnt have to use it because of our seat shape but when we had to use another car it was helpful. We have an older car without latches, only seatbelts, which made the installation very difficult. When we used the latches it was nice and easy. The canopy isnt smooth going up or down and is also a little loud. It was easy to take off the base and take the seat into the house and it doesnt take up a lot of space with the way the handle goes back. I also like the shape of the handle, more square than half circle like an old seat I had which makes it a lot easier to carry. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this infant car seat.

Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this carseat thru Stellar Product Testing Panel and I am so happy I did. The ease of installing and light weight of the seat is so comforting. I also noticed my baby didn't get too hot in this seat. I had a prior seat that my aon would sweat anytime he was in it. It holds up to 35lbs and can stay in the backwards position because of the awesome reclining feature on it, which helps so much!

A Great Lite Option

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was so excited to try out a new infant carrier for my second child (6 weeks at time of writing). The main feature of this seat is the weight. What it lacks in bells and whistles, it makes up for it all In this category. It probably weighs a full 2-3 lbs less than my other infant carrier, and that alone is a huge perk. After adjusting the straps in the back (note: child can not be in the seat when you do this-my only complaint), my newborn fits great. There is no bulky, large headrest on either side of her head, and she can still shift her head around safely and comfortably when buckled. It came out of the box ready to use, and after installing the base I was ready to go. Lifting it in and out of my SUV is much easier, and the click connect is so simple. I always know I have it in correctly when I hear the 3 clicks.

Simple, convenient & adaptable!

As a mother of two, I’m always looking for a simple, convenient product and this car seat did just that. This car seat is sleek and well designed so that it is not bulky in the car and is light when carrying. I felt that the handle was thin so it didn’t feel too awkward when holding the car seat on my arm. The adjustable base that comes with the car seat was so simple to install in my husbands sedan and my SUV, I like that the car seat just clicks right in and you don’t need to mess with anything on it. The only negative I can find in this product is that the fabric isn’t very soft or comfortable in my opinion. It does make it convenient for spot cleaning, but I wish the fabric was a little higher quality. Also, it is easy to attach to any graco one click connect stroller.
I would recommend this to a friend!

LOVE LOVE my Graco SnugRide

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just for starters I’d like to say thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this infant car seat!! It is a huge improvement from my previous! I was immediately impressed with how light the car seat was even when still attached to the base. With all four of my kids I have DREADED the infant car seat stage because of how awkward and heavy the car seats are, even without a baby in them. Absolutely NOT the case with this Graco SnugRide! The handle fits comfortably in the crease of my arm and the car seat is light enough that even with the baby inside It isn’t fatiguing to carry!
Installation was very straight forward with easy to use anchors on the base and a convenient level bubble (my previous car seat base did not have this feature, so very much appreciated!).
Another feature I think my little one appreciates is the insert! He fits nice a snug but the insert isn’t so bulky that it squishes him or makes him hot. My only suggestion would be to add a strap cover. I always worry about the straps digging into baby’s neck. Not necessarily a take away, just a personal preference!
Great job Graco! I will be looking into a travel system to go with the car seat after having such ease of use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I received the Snugride 35 Lite LX Infant Car Seat for free through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, everything stated in this review is my own opinion.
Overall, this is a great, safe (albeit basic) car seat. It’s great for everyday use, the manual is easy to read, and I can even see myself traveling with it, too, because it really is light weight and pretty easy to install with the adjustable base.
The fabric is good and cool. It’s wintertime at the time of this review; however, I’m from an area with very mild winters and we have already seen some warmer days in the low 70s. The car seat has not made my baby sweaty and I can’t see it making my baby sweaty as the temperatures continue to rise (this is huge for me because summer temps here are in the 90-100s degrees Fahrenheit!). The fabric is a little rough, but it wipes up and cleans easily.
The fabric on the infant insert is different than the rest of the car seat and is actually softer and squishier. The infant insert would be great for tiny newborns! However, the insert is outgrown at 12lbs. My baby was born at 8lbs, so, at 2months old, my baby has just barely outgrown the infant insert. This isn’t a big deal but might be if you have bigger newborns and want to get some use out of the infant insert.
The infant insert has some great features that keeps it in place so that it won’t shift under your baby or between buckling your baby in and out. The insert for the head has a strap that goes through the holes for the car seat straps. It then Velcro’s in place so that it doesn’t shift around.
This car seat does NOT have a no-rethread harness. This means that as baby grows, you have to manually adjust the straps to the correct height. This isn’t too difficult, but you do have to remember to make some extra adjustments to the straps in the back once baby outgrows the first two height levels (there are four total). I, personally, am okay with this feature because it helps me ensure a better fit when my baby is small, but if you think it’ll hinder you in getting baby properly secured, you might want to find a car seat with a no-rethread harness system.
Tightening the harness straps on this car seat are easy and I’m confident I have a tight and secure fit each time. The chest clip is sturdy and does not stick. It also has an easy-to-read reminder on chest clip to remind caregivers the proper positioning for the chest clip. We have grandparents babysit all the time and I always appreciate these gentle reminders for those that don’t use car seats on a daily basis.
The base this car seat comes with is so nice! I love the adjustable feature. It has four levels and these really help; I haven’t had to use a towel to install the carseat! This base will definitely come in handy when traveling and using different cars. I’ve been that person searching for a towel at the airport because the car seat needed one in that particular car. In some cases, a rolled towel may still be necessary but the adjustable base makes it a lot less likely I think.
My biggest nuance with this car seat is the canopy. It’s loud. It needs two hands to move. It’s difficult to position. It resists movement. And, most importantly, it will not come in front of baby. So, if the sun is shining directly into baby’s eyes, the canopy will do absolutely nothing to block the sun. The canopy will only block sunlight if the sun is shining in from behind baby. This just defeats the purpose of a canopy to me.
Finally, is this car seat actually light weight? Yes! This feature is so nice, too! I have a toddler so baby usually needs to stay in the car seat while I help my toddler in and out of her own carseat. I usually get baby out of the car first and hold baby in the car seat while unbuckling my toddler. A light weight infant seat makes this juggling so much easier so that I can keep both of my little ones safe around cars!
In Summary:
1. Manual is easy to read.
2. Fabric is cool, easy to clean, although a little rough.
3. Infant insert is soft and squishy, but outgrown at 12 pounds.
4. This is NOT a no-retread car seat. You will have to rethread the harness straps manually.
5. Harness straps move smoothly as does chest buckle.
6. The adjustable base makes installs easier. It’ll be a great base to use while traveling. However, the latch it comes with is basic and a little tricky to use.
7. The canopy on this car seat is loud and doesn’t really do it’s job of blocking the sun from baby’s eyes. Hate the canopy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel I was able to use and review the Graco SnugRide 35 Lite LX Infant Car Seat. This car seat came with easy instructions. It has a nice simple design. The seat is nice and roomy for infants up to the recommend size. The cover and insert on the seat is washable. All the buckles are easy to use and click in and out easily. Straps on the seat are easily adjusted to loosen and tighten. I love the infant insert it helps keep baby’s head up without risk of suffocation and seems to be comfy! The car seat clicks in and out of the fantastic base with ease. There are some thing I don’t like about this seat. I don’t feel like this car seat is lighter than others I have used. The handle on this car seat is slick, there is no grip or finger spots to put your hand. I went out in the rain and the handle slipped in my hand so I put the handle on my arm and it was sliding on my coat. The canopy on this seat is very hard to pull back and forth. You have to use two hands to use it and when you get it to move it is very loud! It woke my baby up. I say this car seat is a good average seat. I can take it or leave it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
