Mattress won’t lay flat

We got this play yard and bassinet for our newborn daughter because we loved the one we used with our son. We can't use this one though because the mattress doesn't lie flat. It has a big bubble in the cover that tents upward in the middle. It causes a 3 or 4in gap between the mattress and the side of the play pen. I waited to write this review because I thought it settle down and lay flat eventually but it hasn't.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I don't known what we would have done without this! It was a game changer in the beginning because it had everything we needed all close together. We could easily move our little one around if we needed to and everything was easy to disassemble. Loved it!

Convenient

Bought this to use when my grand baby is at our house. It was a bit challenging to assemble, but it’s well worth the time because this pack and play is so convenient. We can move it about our house with ease. The mesh sides of the bassinet and the hood are awesome. The only drawback we see is the changing table. The sides are much too low. Our new born baby kicks and moves a lot and her legs can already go over the sides. We won’t be using it. We will change her in the bassinet which appears to be much safer.

First it is this is a necessity if your plan to travel anywhere with your baby. My son sleeps really good in it and it is to easy to travel with!
