Very compact and made of quality! Everything that my other Samsung phones had but can fold to be smaller. I love this phone. So many extras you can do with this, since it does fold. Ease of video calls...fold half way and set on glat surface...no need to hold! Selfies are a breeze...fold in half and wave your palm in front of the camera and say cheese...automatically takes picture. You can also take pictures with phone folded. Bixby can help you take the pictures as well! Nicest phone I have had!
amazing , I bought the phone for the innovation but ended up surpassing my expectations . I have not been cautions with the phone and it is not as fragile as it is made out to be in several reviews and videos I saw.
First I have to say, the novelty of flipping the phone goes largely unnoticed by others so those seeking attention maybe look onward, however the novelty to myself is downright amazing. It is just that; a novelty. But darned if I didn't give up my iPhone 11 Pro for this bad boy. Not only is the phone so fun to use, and I'm actually taking phone calls on it again simply because I'm flipping it open and closed to do so. I love it!
Spec wise it's in line with the S10 line of devices, it's PLENTY fast for every day apps and keeps up with games just fine too. I wish it had a 120hz screen but not a deal breaker for me. It needs no screen protector because it comes with a 'zagg' invisishield feeling skin which self-heals from scratches extremely well. The exterior, however, is the slickest thing I've ever held and so I added a nice skin (cases are all too thick and detract from the sleekness of this amazing device) to the outter shell for better grip.
I also understand the first screen replacement for ANY reason is covered by Samsung for $100. Second or more screen replacements is $500 as I'm finding. This gave me the confidence to intentionally try to break the screen (sort of) by recklessly flipping it open one handed, and testing the limits of how fun this can be to flip open and shut from the days of old. Happy to report that no matter how rough on it I've been it has not broken yet. Well done Samsung!
I do find dust/lint/hair frequently trying to make its way into the hinge but a brush off and all good. Plus you can hear the brushes cleaning the gears inside the hinge if you put it near your ear. Satisfying sound to show the quality of Samsungs learning curve regarding foldables.
Lastly, battery. It's a 3,300mAh battery same as the iPhone 11 Pro. I have to say, with some tuning in the stock OS, plus some godsend apps (Naptime, Betterbatterystats) I've got the battery lasting me several days at a time. Seriously. Sure, if I'm doing some heavy gaming or videos, it can drop quickly, moreso than the 11 Pro did, but the standby time is fantastic, and even with many phone calls, social media, etc. in a day I'm going to bed with 30+% left.
The cost is the only hard part to chew but watch for a sale, or wait and prices will drop. But even at the $1500 I got mine for I don't regret it. Amazing little device and it's made me enjoy using phones again!
So far, I think this phone is FANTASTIC! The display is incredibly sharp. It's fast, fun and friendly. Performance is great. Battery life seems to be pretty good so far. Duel screen functions are excellent. I have had so many people ask me about it because it just looks so cool. Granted, I've only had it a little over a week. So, I would prefer to come back and edit my review in a year so see how the "fold" screen holds up...but so far, 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this phone.
I upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S10+ and so far so good! I have not noticed any difference in camera quality, speed, or anything else really. There is definitely a crease down the middle where it folds, but it does not bother me at all and you can't see it when the phone is on. The biggest draw back for me is that although it's half the size length-wise when folded, it's twice as thick. (obviously haha) So it can look quite bulky in the pocket, even though it does fit in the pocket better. something I'd like to see is an always-on display on the mini screen since I usually have the phone folded and would like to be able to glance at the time without touching the phone. This is a very new innovation, so I'm excited to see where the new flip phones go from here!
