[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first battery lawn mower, and I’m very impressed. The mower handles my centipede grass much better than I thought it would, and the double battery setup finished the whole lawn with charge to spare. I have 1/3 acre. The personal pace self propelled system takes a little getting used to but I really like it. I’m 73 years old with bad knees and I appreciate it.
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Effective

Poor design.

The lawn mower works fine but the battery life is just too low. I use it without the self-propelled and the batteries could not finish and area of less than 1/4 acre. The most annoying is the bag that has a poor design that made it difficult to empty when full. The three black edged of the bag is always coming loose. I don't know why Greenworks decide to change to this cheap design. I wish I can change the bag on my old Greenworks to this new one, but it will not work. Greenworks need to go back to the old bag that was well designed with quality material and recall this new bag. There is no need to change what is good to bad one.
Pros: Environmentally Safe, Powerful
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect for my mother!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently purchased this mower for my elderly mother and her boyfriend. It's the first battery-powered mower that I've ever purchased. The assembly was quick and easy, and the instructions were easy to follow. The mower is lighter weight than a traditional mower but heavy enough to be solid. The self-propelled feature and simplicity of starting the mower are perfect for my elderly mother and her boyfriend. It brought my mother to tears when I delivered it because she was not expecting it and knew that I was thinking about her.

Works great so far - came fully assembled, just adjust the blade cutting height, pop in the two batteries and there was one charge bar remaining on one battery after doing the front AND back yards! Of course, it is early in the season, grass has just started to grow. But so far so good.

Easily cuts tall grass but hard to manuever

I love how it tackles tall grass like it wasn’t even there! I had covid and couldn’t mow for almost a month and tried this mower out for the first time and it sliced through 8” crab grass areas as if it were only 2” tall. I was shocked!
The problem I do have is trying to drag this thing backwards. With the Smartpace self propel engaged, sometimes I can randomly move the mower backwards no problem but most of the time the wheels completely lock up and it’s difficult to move the mower backwards. I have so many nooks in my yard I have to be able to mow a tiny area and then back out of it. I wish I knew why sometimes the wheels weren’t locked and why most of the time they are and how to fix it :(

Perfect for the front yard

Recently purchased to mow the small areas of our lawn. Very pleased with this mower. Took some getting used to the smart drive, but it saved me and my back. Does a great job cutting & mulching tall grass. Mowed the front (app. 1/4 acre), still had more than 1/2 a charge on the first battery. Automatically increases speed when encountering thicker, wet grass and returns to normal when clear of the thick stuff. Love the height adjustment.
