Can’t Be Played While Plugged In

Unlike my other JBL bluetooth portable speaker, this one cannot be turned on while it is plugged in, so you can’t play it while it’s charging. This means it’s only useful for ~3 hours before it needs to be turned off and fully recharged. Sound is good, but this flaw makes it nearly worthless.

Our JBL Charge 3 should be working while plugged in. The unit can be used while it is plugged into a charger. Please try manually tuning on the device while it is plugged into the charging cable. If you need more help, please reach out to our Customer Support.

small but big punch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the first JBL Go for years, and it is still kicking but it’s not waterproof. I was so excited to get this speaker, it is so much louder and better quality than any of the speakers in my house (even my alexa). Super easy to set up and the battery lasts so long. It charges with USB C and comes with a cord for it which I love because it matches my laptop and switch!! JBL never disappoints, I love this speaker.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great size but sound quality is just ok

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the sound quality of the GO is ok but the Flip is better. More crisp. The size is great for carrying on the golf cart or in a pool bag.

Horrible - My 2nd one of these that won’t connect

This is my second JBL Go3 that doesn’t connect to Bluetooth. I’ve tried multiple devices, a factory reset, charging…. Nothing works. Both brand new out of the box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broke Day 1

I bought one of these for my 2 year old to listen to in the bath. This item has a very specific waterproof rating that allows this but when floating on top of bath water it immediately stopped working. Not as advertised.

Great sound but battery

Sounds amazing but cant get more than a 2 maybe 3 hours out the battery before it dies

Speaker is good, customization not what I expected

I bought this for my husband for a birthday gift. He loves it, the sound it very nice. I did have a personalized picture on it. In the bottom middle there's a huge JBL logo covering some of the picture. The picture I used was a collage of our 5 pets, and the preview looked great but the actual picture on the speaker is a little hard to read. Even the edges of the picture I customized to be blue with black hearts are even difficult to make out. Overall the speaker itself is very nice quality sound, but just disappointed about the custom picture. One large easy to see picture is probably best to use, it stinks that they have to put the JBL logo in the bottom middle of you custom photo also. Just for reference, the part that has the picture on it is bumpy, so the picture does seem more visually appealing/readable from a distance then close up. My husband loved it, I'm just being picky.

I bought this new for full price in April in New York only to find that none of the apps JBL has for linking or equalizing support this model. It works okay but I can’t mess with the treble or bass and, frankly, that make the sound quality kinda garbage. I don’t think it should be being sold.
