[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase of a T14 AMD, Ryzen Pro 7 after 2 weeks of ownership. I've had a series of T-series laptops over time and I have no significant reservations about this latest incarnation - quite the opposite. Keyboard is still up to standard. I went for the 300 nit touchscreen, which is fine and seems to be plenty bright enough - although it's crucial to use the AMD Radeon Settings Lite to override the overly dim display that results from the adaptive brightness when on battery power. Note that when upgrading the SSD, it's best to use the Thinkpad media creation tool to reinstall Windows 10; I discovered that just installing Windows meant I didn't get the AMD Radeon Settings Lite software - and it wasn't available separately from either Lenovo or AMD's website. I suspect that color accuracy is not great and whites appear a bit on the warm side; I haven't explored to see if this can be adjusted. I had some teething problems when upgrading the SSD to a 1TB drive; bitlocker got installed along the way somehow, without me specifically requesting this (does Microsoft do that?) and also some sound-melody error warnings when pressing the F1 key (decoded using the Lenovo phone app). From a call with Lenovo tech support, it turned out that the errors could be solved very simply by doing a BIOS settings re-set. If I had known this up-front, it would have saved me some grief and stress. Performance has been excellent so far. No issues with heat - although you can certainly feel the warm air emitted by the fan to the right hand side of the laptop. The fan noise is at whisper level when I set the power settings to maximum performance, but even then I don't notice it most of the time. I wish that there was a USB-C port (for power) on the right hand side as well as the left (i.e. where the kensington lock is located - I've never seen that feature actually used). I had some concerns about choosing an AMD model over Intel but so far I have not experienced any issues. So despite a couple of teething problems, this machine rocks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great value, however, the screen quality is lacking. I would be happy to pay extra for a brighter IPS screen that won't take months to ship. Ideally there would be a 1440p option as well. The other complaint that I have is that this computer is a fingerprint magnet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I customized my model of this base quite a bit: touch screen, soldered memory, ssd size, etc. I am happy with the build, the size, weight, construction of the laptop: I purchased this with the intent that I can use this for the next 5+ years (my last laptop is over 10 years old at this point). I am pleased with the performance I have at a medium-price range for all the options available. And I appreciate the capacity to make some upgrades down the line.
The battery life is good. If I start a zoom class (I teach 2.5 hour art classes) on a fully charged battery, I end at about half capacity. For regular work, I seem to get between 4-6 hours in before needing to re-charge.
I purchased this laptop in part from hearing about good ratings on the keyboard. I am pleased with the keyboard, the touch pad.

Quality of LIfe Upgrade

I had an E470 laptop for 3 years when we got an upgrade to these T14 units. There is a world of difference. No more waiting 5 minutes to boot or shut off. Nothing feels loose or cheap on this laptop. A big annoyance for me was on the E series my finger would drag across the touchpad while with this T it glides smoothly. Battery is also MUCH better. Recommended.
