[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Laptop seems decent. Although the 250 nits screen is not as bright as I had hoped. Wished backlit keyboard had option if you touched the keys or touchpad it will be lit. Not so sure if the battery will be long lasting.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like most of you reading this, I've been pretty excited about getting one of the new Ryzen APUs and it finally arrived! I use this computer mostly for working on open source software, chatting on IRC, watching youtube videos, and listening to music. I normally run the "stable" Debian distro which at the time of writing is Debian 10; unfortunately this laptop doesn't work with Debian 10 out of the box because of missing GPU and WIFI firmware. So I decided to move permanently to Debian testing which does have all the necessary firmware.
My only complaint then, and the reason I give this a 4/5 star rating, is that there is something broken about the lid switch that causes the laptop to wake up from S3 power state (ie suspended to RAM) if the laptop lid is closed while suspended; this is a problem because normally I expected the lid to wake the computer only when it is opened. I'm hopeful that this will be fixed either in a future Linux patch or in a future bios update.
