[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure why other companies can't make laptops that *just work* with Linux. Lenovo's options are better than anything else on the market. Not only do they *just work*; They are *officially supported* to run Linux. I can't think of a reason to ever use another laptop which does not offer this distinction.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is amazing. The screen is crisp and clear. The option to enable and disable a privacy filter through smart keys is great. Having a separate over the screen filter has always been an issue for me.
The keyboard is soft, responsive and intuitive. Having the option to enable to function keys as either full time "F" keys or full time quick keys makes using the computer easier. Volume, brightness, and display controls at the tip of my fingers is great when I am transitioning from desk to mobile or to presenting in a conference.
The processor, combined with the memory and SSD creates a fast and very responsive operating environment. I bounce between office software to presentation software and video software without delay. Sometimes, running multiple programs appears so seamless that I forget I am running them all on the same laptop.
This laptop, combined with the lightning / USB-C docking station makes transitioning from my three screen desk setup to being mobile so simple that I wish I made the jump earlier. Previously, I was running at T430 with dock and the graphics card would have a melt down when I would take the computer off the dock and go from multiple displays to just the integrated display.
By far, of all the laptops I have used in the past (IBM, Panasonic Toughbook and HP elitebook), this T14 is the best computer I have ever owned. Adding the docking station made it just that much better. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the T14 to anyone that needs a performance computer.

Mostly very good, with a few minor design issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I'm very satisfied with this machine. It's much thinner and lighter than my last ThinkPad, the screen is gorgeous, and the i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM and SSD make it very fast. The only down sides are:
1. Even though both this machine and my old one both have 14" screens, this one is wider and shorter, probably to accommodate the 1920 x 1080 display. That translates into a screen that is about 1/8 smaller in overall area, and the shorter vertical dimension may limit productivity (especially for those who must contend with the horrendous ribbon in MS Office applications).
2. Since the battery is now completely internal, you can no longer carry an extra and just pop it in when needed, and replacement requires taking the machine apart. This seems to be the case with many laptops these days, and I suppose it helps in keeping the size and weight down, but it's an unfortunate trend.

I bought this PC mostly because of the keyboard. It did not disappoint. Every worked well out of the box and I can definitely recommend this T14. I bought the touchscreen model and only gave 4 stars because the screen is not as bright or easily read from and angle as my previous pc. Still, I wouldn't go back.
