[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's an amazing laptop that's portable, with an amazing display, good sound, decent battery life and all the features in a 2-in-1 you would like and appreciate, along with software features that come with Lenovo Vantage. The only reason why it's rated 3-stars is because of overheating issues that causes us to doubt the laptop's longevity. Other than that, everything else works well and good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my laptop as a researcher and a student. My last laptop broke down on me right in time for my summer job so I took a chance on purchasing the thinkpad x1 yoga gen 5. After a year of remote learning and working, I never wanted to look at another screen again, and yet my productivity is through the roof based solely on how much fun I am having using this computer. The tablet and pen function, which at first I thought might be clunky and frivolous, is smooth and enjoyable. Microsoft Office programs are adapted to this function, which makes it's use in editing and marking up my colleagues paper's seamless (and much more colorful), even in tablet mode. The layout, coupled with windows 10, makes multitasking a cinch. Movies and games look and sound great. Video conferencing looks and sounds great. It is important to mention that, at least in my iteration of this computer, the RAM is soldered and limited. For the average computer user, this may never be an issue, but when I have multiple programs opened (and particularly Chrome, Microsoft Office or when working with or editing data heavy images), things can get a little slow for a brand new computer. That would be my only complaint. To end on a positive note: Thinkpad makes the most superior keyboard on the market. By far my favorite I have ever used for typing. Would certainly recommend this for anyone, particularly those whose jobs call for multitasking.
