Middle of the Road

Been using this for little over a year now. The blender does a good job of making the daily smoothly, but this model is extremely noisy, it's so loud I've taken to wearing ear plugs when I use it. This was purchased as a replacement for another Breville blender that lasted for about eight years, it seems the quality for this new model isn't quite as good as the previous generation. Just had the plastic cap for the lid sheer off, so now I'm looking for a replacement.

Can't blend anything frozen

Really disappointed with this. Bought this blender with the sole intention of making smoothies and unfortunately the blender cannot even blend semi-frozen fruit, even when there is more than enough liquid and soft textures (banana) also in the mixture. Have to increasingly add more and more liquid to make it work, stop it every 4 seconds when it gets stuck and stir it, then repeat for 10+ times until it finally makes a smoothie. It also leaks onto the base and gets moldy if you do not notice and clean it right after use. Not worth the money

This is an extremely loud blender when used in either of the two smoothie modes or on level 5. And the motor produces a significant blast of air during operation. I have owned both a BBL600 and a BBL605 and neither of these models presented any problems at all, both were very satisfactory blenders. Although the BBL620 functions as well as the others I found its characteristics quite disappointing. When I initially complained about the problem, Customer Service was very responsive and sent me a replacement unit, but the second unit was just as loud as the first.

Needs a lid that fits under counters

Purchased the blender for my man who has had throat cancer treatment and needs smoothies to supplement his diet. Researched on America's Test Kitchen and took the plunge. Blender itself works great and gets daily use, but when not in use, the blender with pitcher and lid doesn't fit under our cabinets on our countertop. Would be great if it came with a storage cover to keep dust from getting in while not in use rather than requiring the ring lid.

Disappointing

I am very disappointed in this blender and am sorry I bought it. For one thing, I have to ‘chew’ the green smoothies that I make, so it isn’t blending well enough. Secondly, the liquid does not stay in the bottom of the container to blend but instead it whooshes up to the top and all over the place, thus wasting some of the product. Also, this blender is very noisy. In its favour I can say that it is easy to clean and the plug is nicely designed.
I do not recommend it at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had great potential (key word is had)!

I bought this blender in May of 2021. It began so great and then the issues started. Out the box, the first issue was taking the lid off. It is extremely difficult to take it off. You have to use great strength but not too much as the liquid that gets on the upper part of the lid will surely splash on you. The other issue is the cleaning. Once again, another lid related issue. food gets trapped underneath the rubber. So, you had to find a way to peel it back, to scrub food particles off. Lastly and most concerning in the leakage. The bottom of the jar under the blade leaks. This began after three weeks of ownership. I got too busy to actually return it to the store of purchase. Very disappointing to have a blender with such great potential but falls short.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
