Great machine

Works great. Does what it says it does. Produces great espresso. Auto froths the milk and detects the temperature for you. Looks good. Heats up in literally 3 seconds.
Only one gripe I have is that the portafilter is of so-so quality. I find my espresso shots run quicker out of one of the ports filter spouts due to the plastic inner piece design.
Not sure what others are saying about the portafilter not going on easily. If you overfill it with coffee grinds, then it’s a little tough to get on. If you don’t overfill the coffee grinds it’s easy to get the portafilter on the unit.

Great for the price I paid

I got it on sale for 399, and for this price point it is great. Heats up so quick and the automatic milk wand is great. I had trouble with the portafilter being hard to lock. But when I run one cup first, then put in the portafilter. have no trouble locking it in place. It works for me, hope it works for you.

Loving my Bambino!

I love lattes and was turning over far too much to Starbucks to feed my habit. I don’t like over priced or too complicated. The Bambino is perfect. Buy it when it’s on sale and the value is great. Easy to use right out of the box. Clean up is a breeze, and the water reservoir is large. The drip tray could be better designed. It fills quickly because the frother sprays out after each use, and it spills easily when I go to dump it out. Minor complaint. The machine makes perfect lattes every time, strength, texture and temperature always ideal and effortless. I’ve never been happier with an appliance purchase.

Decided to make my first leap to espresso and bought the Bambino Plus from Best Buy. I've had it a week and am enjoying making latte's and americanos at home. I think this is a great buy for a person wanting something beyond the pod machines and am very happy with my purchase. Especially love the automatic milk frothing.

I have been using this espresso machine for about 6 months and it is overall a very good product from Breville.
The only con for me is that it can be a struggle to insert and lock the portafilter onto the grouphead. I run a shot of hot water through the grouphead which is suggested by the manual and it does help a bit. However, because the connection is still tight and the machine is so lightweight I still find myself having to maneuver to get the portafilter locked into the grouphead properly.
Once you master this acrobatic, the rest of the machine is easy and convenient to use. Some of the many pros about this machine are: huge water tank, automatic steamer (which steams and froths decently), and ready to use in 3 seconds. Oh! And makes darn good espresso as well :D
Overall, nifty machine.

I bought one of these on sale. Great value and makes espresso, lattes and cappuccinos as good as my Barista Express. Grinder on the Barista failed just beyond warranty so I purchased a standalone grinder and that works well with the Bambino.
