Excellent for Lattes

We have had the Bambino plus for 2 months now. We replaced our duo temp plus, which finally gave out after many years. The Bambino plus is excellent. It is easy to use. The automatic frother works extremely well. The espresso is perfect every morning. The automatic process for notifying when to clean and descale is great too, and the process for both is quick and easy. The machine is smaller, quieter, and does not drip or leak, as our duo temp used to. Well worth the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loved the espresso, until it started leaking after just 1 year

I truly loved this little machine. It makes great espresso and latte. Unfortunately after just over a year, it started leaking from the bottom. It's been sitting on my counter ever since unused. So disappointed. I still recommend to friends because I think I just got a fluke.

Broken steam wand after 8 months

I love the espresso part of this machine, and I loved the milk frother ... until the steam wand broke after using it for only 8 months. Now the wand starts frothing the milk, but stops with an error halfway through, even though I've tried everything in terms of cleaning it. I also tried to get Breville to repair it and they had me mail in the machine and sent it back UNFIXED. So the customer support has been quite useless too. I might keep the machine for the espresso and get a separate milk frother but that is quite ridiculous for such an expensive machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

stopped working after a month

As a brand new machine, I noticed I had to push the brew and foam buttons several times. After a month of use or less, the machine simply quit working.

Great coffee but leaks

The coffee maker creates a large puddle during the coffee making or steaming process. I sent it in for a repair, which improved matters slightly but did not totally eliminate the problem. Poor engineering.

Leaks after 18 months

Bought 2 years ago. Developed a leak within 6 months. Repair costs are a significant fraction of the purchase price.

Such potential, but such disappointment

We bought this machine because many of our friends have breville and love it. This machine does crank out a great espresso but the maintenance and issues that come with it are just not worth it. We bought it in July of 2022, within 6 months the machine stopped working and breville sent me a new machine under warranty, which I was very grateful for. However, the steam wand on the new machine has never worked properly, getting clogged on every single cup of milk. I bought a new steam tip from breville and still no luck. We throughly clean our breville daily and run the cleaning/descale cycle when necessary, so we know this isn’t an issue. I had high hopes for this machine but will unfortunately not be buying breville again simply because a machine that costs this much should not have this many issues. I wished it would have worked out better.

Very frustrating when it decides it wants to clean

It starts flashing lights and forces you to run a cleaning cycle before you can make your morning coffee or even rinse the group head & portafilter. To make it worse, the sequence to do this has maybe 8 steps and requires multiple cryptic sequences of pushing multiple buttons simultaneously, wait, press more, ... I have to look it up every time, and still can't get it to work. The machine has effectively bricked itself.
