As a replacement for our retired Rancilio Siva,we purchased the Bambino Plus. My wife is ecstatic as she concludes our lattes are far superior now. To be fair to Rancilio, that fact may have more to do with the with our home barista (moi), than the machine. However, the functions are far easier (speed of heating, ease of making a shot, frothing, cleaning etc.). We will see if the machine endures over time. So far we are very pleased. The only complaint I have is, that it seems if I add slightly more milk than required, the frothing won’t stop until it froths over, requiring a quick removal of the jug. This in spite of assuring that the jug is place well over the heat button.

I purchased this as my first espresso machine and am extremely happy with it so far. Easy setup and minimal learning curve. I do not like the forced clean mode as mine stayed stuck in the mode for some time and I had to perform a reset.

Stopped working

Bought my Bambino Plus in April 2024. It did make great espresso. Now September 2024 and it has completely stopped working. It will brew water, put the portafilter on and it groans and does not brew. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased the Bambino Plus about a month ago after the Breville Duo Temp machine died. It was about 10 years old. R.I.P. I had a previous model also. And we also own a regular Breville coffee maker. When my unit died, I of course went to Breville for a replacement. I found the bambino plus I choose this model because I really didn’t want a grinder. The Bambino Plus does make a very quick cup of coffee and latte. However, if you like a thick foam, you will not get that with this machine. It does produce a very nice microfoam, but very thin. You can’t really leisurely drink your coffee because the foam Dilutes. Responsible I have tried 2% one percent and Skim milk. All steam about the same. I love the idea of the auto Micro foam feature However, the foam is just not as good as my old machine. The other thing about the Bambino plus is it’s extremely light. Why is this an issue? because when you remove the portafilter the whole unit moves. Also there was not much thought into where does my tamper get stored. Items on top of the Bambino like filters rattle around when machine is being used. I hope that Breville makes changes to this unit.

Breville have lost me!

Have owned a number of Breville espresso machines over the years and this is my second Bambino, but it will be the last. The new "feature" where the machine tells me when it wants to be cleaned and won't let me do anything else is beyond annoying. Not only is it not always convenient to run a cleaning cycle when the machine tells me too, but it means after extracting the last shot of coffee I can't steam the milk for it, so that coffee goes to waste.
Have always been a very loyal customer to Breville and recommended their products to others. Not any more!

The Bambino replaced my dual boiler 10 year old Breville. I was very happy with the previous model, but a button stopped working. The Bambino is very easy to use and takes up less counter space. I can't believe how good my morning cappuccino tastes!
