Easy to use, clean and makes smooth espresso and steamed milk

Setup was easy. Ground our beans at mid point setting. Warm, smooth espresso within two minutes. The machine froths milk without little effort on my part. Cleaning up is easy. Finally, the machine takes up little space on the counter while looking good.

The Bambino plus can make a good espresso if you are careful and operate it in a mostly manual way. We have reprogrammed it multiple times, and it will not consistently deliver the right amount of water, usually about 1/2 of what it should whether it is for a single or double shot. Most of the time the frother works well, but occasionally it does not turn off automatically, making a mess as the pitcher overflows. If I watch everything carefully, and manually work the shot volume (pressing the button twice, turning it off halfway through the second dose) I can get a good espresso and latte. On the other hand, the price is not terrible for a decent quality semi automatic espresso machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bambino was great until it wasn't

I loved my Bambino Plus machine and used it nearly everyday. I used the Breville products to descale my Bambino Plus, as I wanted to keep it in good condition. Unfortunately, after less than two years, my machine is beginning to have problems that is making it unusable. When I plug it in to an outlet there are sparks and the reset button is triggered. I thought it was the outlets but the electritian told me it was the machine! Sure enough, every other appliance works fine. I'm bummed out and don't think I'll invest in a Breville machine again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Received this as a Christmas Gift. The learning curve was easy. I enjoy the fact that the you are basically able to clean all the parts of the machine after each use. ( It runs a milk wand cleaning and a filter shower head cleaning with a push of a button) Makes a great cup of espresso and looks great on my counter top as well!
