I bought this item because I drink coffee or cappuccino every day, and wanted something to replace my older espresso maker. Here's the great - heats fast, and the milk frother froths nicely! I think that having the frother self-cleaning is ok, but it really fills up the little reservoir quite quickly. The coffee is ok - still working on trying to get the perfect brew. The machine feels a little flimsy, so let's see how it holds up over time. Splurged for a few of the accessories too. I'm hoping this one lasts for years - let's see Breville!

I have no barista skills whatsoever and wanted a simple, easy-to-use way to make a good espresso drink in the morning. The Bambino Plus gives me that with an automatic process that makes things easy. It can also be used by more sophisticated coffee drinkers who like to determine themselves how long to pull the shots, etc. because you can take it off auto and program it yourself. Excellent choice at a good price.

Simple, great espresso

I’ve had this machine for over a year now and have no major complaints. I love the auto milk froth option, which many of the higher end machines don’t have. Obviously the auto frothing doesn’t give you the same milk finish as a cafe, but if you want to make a fancy latte with designs you can froth manually (just takes some learning). I love making a latte every morning and it’s 100% worth every penny. It’s super easy to clean and descale. I typically grind my beans at the store that I buy them from because they have a higher quality grinder. This won’t give you quite the same quality as grinding at home, but you can always buy a high quality grinder as well if that’s important to you. I now find that lattes I get at many cafes are not as good because I get to customize it exactly how I like at home.
