If counter space is a consideration for you and you want to make a good espresso look no further. The machine performs very well. It is simple to use. It also makes very good textured milk effortlessly. The reason for the four stars ( I wanted to give it 4.5 but I can't on this website) is 1. Do not overfill the pressurized baskets. The portafilter and pressurized basket combination is weak in my opinion. Not as strong as the portafilter that comes with the Barista Express (I own one). Measure 8 grams for a single or 16 for a double. Maybe even slightly less. If you put too much in, the basket will come out almost every time you knock out the grinds. Don't use too fine a grind. 2. You will have to empty and clean the tray often as it doesn't hold much water. 3. Let the milk wand purge in the milk jug (clean it first). It will make much less of a mess than letting it purge in the tray. This machine is a lot of fun. I bought one for my sister and one for my daughter and they love the machines. They didn't have to go through the learning curve of "dialing in" a good shot. Now I don't have to go out for espresso when I visit them.

Good espresso, machine not stable

I bought this a month ago and the coffee is great, however, the machine is lightweight and needs two hands on the machine to keep it steady when putting in the coffee handle and removing it. Otherwise the machine will tip over. I had an older version of The Infuser previously and it was very stable, heavy, felt good quality. This one feels cheap and I wish I had purchased the Infuser instead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For the most part the espresso machine works as advertised. However, there have been multiple times where the machine is asked to make a double cup and actually make 4 or 6 cups of espresso at one time. Seems like a system failure when it makes 2-3x the amount
in one cycle.

Compact and easy to make espresso with or without milk drinks. The pressurized portafilter and measuring tools included will cut down the time for dialing in your taste preference. I personally use a bigger non-pressurized portafilter and an espresso scale for a bigger serving that requires running the water manually.
