After a lot of reviews (thanks Wirecutter) I decided to get the Bambino Plus and the Smart Grinder Pro vs the Barista Express. Needless to say I’m very happy with my purchase! I thought I’d be unhappy without the pressure gauge but with the grinder and a stopwatch I feel like I’ve been making pretty quality shots. Troubleshooting has been a breeze. The automatic foaming is also amazing. Having a separate grinder was the way to go for me.

Good machine but the espresso does not come out evenly from the portafilter. It pours out more from one spout than the other. Also the machine is so light weight, I have to hold it down so it does not flip over.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Bambino Plus is a great little machine. It puts out a top notch espresso and steaming/frothing milk takes no skill to make a velvety smooth texture. The small footprint on my counter is very much appreciated.
