Only fully functional for one year.

I enjoyed this machine for the first year. It was great and easy to use as my first espresso machine. After a year, the steamer stopped working. Even with the additional 4 years protection plan, there is no help
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like how fast it brews espresso and how fast the steam works, but the drip tray is way too shallow and must be emptied after every use. It looks sleek and kind of retro, which I love. It’s really hard to get out the portafilter if you want to change from 1 cup to 2 cups. I love the automatic steam function and the different temperature settings. Overall, very glad I bought this!!

perfect for experienced and novice espresso lovers

First time buying an espresso machine and adore this one. We have a nespresso, grind-n-brew, french press and pour over already in the house - so definitely not novices when it comes to coffee. This little machine is super easy to use and is a great combo for me (who likes things a bit automated) and my partner (who likes things to be manual so he can make it perfect to his liking) making it a great machine for us. bonus that is isn’t a monstrosity on the counter and we bought the salt color which is divine. If you’re hesitating don’t - this one is a no brainer.

We loved this machine immediately, but soon discovered that the 2-cup filter included adds too much pressure for freshly ground beans. I wouldn’t mind ordering the correct filter, but it’s been out of stock for months. It’s pretty frustrating that this tiny piece would cut my workload in half and wasn’t included in the box.

I love this machine. Only disappointments: 1. The top of the machine is supposed to be a "warmer" so you can sit your cup on it to keep your drink warm; it hardly gets warm at all. 2. The Razor is hard to use. There should be something else that would work better.....I just don't even use it; so sometimes the amount of grinds is not exactly what I need, but better than making a mess using that Razor. 3. The markings on the stainless steel cup that show where to fill milk to: they are on the INSIDE of the cup so it's very hard to see......they need to be on the OUTSIDE of the cup.

My Absolute Favorite Purchase in 2019

This review is long overdue. I never thought I'd be able to afford a Breville Espresso machine. I already own the tea maker (outstanding) and the Smart Oven which I purchased right after they were released. I did purchase the Smart Scoop ice cream maker last year from a local, great person. But it made a terrible noise, didn't freeze after using for a few days.
The seller took it back and refunded me. I will say the few ice cream forays with the machine, made ice cream like I've never had before.
I just adore this Bambino, it is the right size, we use it several times a day. Bravo to Breville!
