Great Lattes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The drinks come out delicious. However, the rating is low because the directions are confusing. I had to look up videos on YouTube to figure out how to work it all correctly and I still can't make a latte without making a huge mess. I would have liked a DVD to watch on how to work this with tips and tricks. If you don't mind having too search YouTube for instructional videos, then it is a wonderful product overall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OMG WOW! This thing is my new favorite thing! Since the Breville Bambino Plus came into my kitchen, I’ve been excited!! I have made myself and sometimes my husband a special drink everyday; my husband is not much of a coffee/espresso drinker, but this machine makes everything so nicely to where he looks forward to getting his own cup of cozy! The machine doesn’t take up a lot of space and looks very pleasing to the eye, so you want to show that baby off! The features on this machine makes it really stand out above the rest and it isn’t really loud like other machines and is super fast! I absolutely love that it has 3 heat settings, low, ideal, and hot; I prefer either low or ideal, because I cannot handle hot drinks, whereas my husband goes for ideal or hot. There are also 3 frothing settings for texture and you can also choose the temperature for your milk froth as well! This machine truly makes gourmet drinks! Another fabulous thing is that it helps clean itself by purging the steam wand after you finish making your froth; the rest of the machine is extremely easy and fast to clean. Great features, easy to use, and all around awesome! You can’t go wrong with this machine!

Easy to Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Bambino Plus. It is so easy to use. It has an entire manual but also a quick start instruction sheet that made it so easy. It is incredibly well made. It is sturdy and made of high quality stainless steel. All the accessories are well made too. It is every bit a machine I would expect to see at a coffee shop. The expresso I made turned out perfectly with no mess. The frother works extremely well and had a lot of height and fluff. I used whole milk and then on the second time added a little creamer to the milk. Both frothed well. This would be a great buy for a coffee lover and make a very nice gift for one too.

Worse espresso machine purchase I've made

My old Saeco/Starbucks Barista finally bit the dust after over 10 years of faithful service. With the Barista I made a morning espresso with a tall head of froth, which would last for a 15 minute walk to work and 30 minutes or more slowly drinking the coffee. So, I was excited to not have to manually froth the milk anymore. After futzing with the frothing controls, I was able to get acceptable froth, but nothing like what I got doing it with an old style wand. Some days, the froth would almost disappear by the time I walked to work. I tried all the milk fat levels and nothing was close to what I was used to. Now, it's two months and suddenly, I cannot get any froth (maybe an inch of froth)! Same bottle of milk, and now it's creating only steamed milk! I was willing to live with the smaller amount of froth the machine generated at first, but this is now unacceptable.
I do not recommend this machine if you like cappuccino level froth.

Loving my Breville - the Bambino Plus!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To make sure I knew exactly how to use my new Bamboo Plus Espresso machine I watched some you tube videos. I am now able to master this Impressive and fun machine. Now using and even cleaning my Breville machine is nice and easy. I am able to make a perfectly frothed latte. I am now experimenting with different flavors so I can make my favorite latte and cappuccinos just like the big named chain coffee houses and save a lot of money. I like how fast the frother heats up. I like the fact that this does not take up a lot of space on my counter and it's much more fancier looking than your ordinary coffee pot! I love that it has 64 oz. water reservoir. Also when the drip tray is full it has a floater device that will pop up to warn you. This machine has 3 heat settings so you can choose how hot you want it to be. It also has 3 settings for making the texture and temperature of the milk for how you want it. It also purges the steam wand after you finish making your froth. Cleaning the machine is very easy and fast. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to be able to make their favorite cappuccinos, latte and espresso drinks in your very own kitchen, anytime.

Did not work from day one

I purchased this espresso machine after having success with other Breville products over the years, and when I tried it out for the first time, nothing worked. The water wouldn't heat up and the unit just produced never-ending supplies of cold water into my mug, and I had to unplug it to make it stop. On top of that, the steam wand just shoots out cold water (zero steam or warmth) as the "so-called" espresso is being made. Lastly, neither the steam button or the two temperature gauges for the steam and espresso do not turn on or off, and they do not illuminate. Everything about this purchase was a letdown. I am returning this machine immediately as not a single function on it works properly, and it was purchased brand new.

Just bought the Bambino on 1/30/20 -portafilter is horrible and won't turn on or off!!!!!!!!

I just purchased a Bambino espresso maker and can't get the portafilter on and off. It is impossible to turn it to a locked position and just as hard to remove. Do you have any solutions for this other than returning the product to the store? Is there a different model number? I ran hot water through it to see if that would help - it is not at all smoothe enough to use! I called last night before 5 and ws told I would get a call back. (That did not happen and when I tried to call back again you were closed!) Can someone let me know if it is just this model that has this issue? I appear to be 1 of 2 reviewers this week with the problem. Mine is the BES500. Haven't even tried with coffee in it - I already have bruising on my arm from trying to turn the portafilter on and off! I am guessing there is a better model of this? I really want to use this!!!!!!!Please advise!

All thoughts and opinions are my own and based on my experience only. I absolutely love this machine. It is beautiful, for one thing. Nice and compact, and well made. I like the smaller size since I have a small kitchen. The first thing I noticed was how nice the tamper and milk steaming cup were, and how heavy and durable the portafilter was. I think the company really wanted a quality experience for the buyers. The espresso ran really nice for us, with even pours and a nice crema. The frothing options are plenty, with different temperature options as well. The automatic foaming option is surprisingly easy to use, with great results, which is great for an inexperienced barista! The portafilter fits nicely after I figured out where to line it up. This machine made me some very beautiful lattes, and a great flat white as well. The milk wand self cleaning function is a huge timesaver and hassle free. I am excited to use this all winter long!
