Portafilter Extremely Difficult to Remove

This machine looks good and makes great espresso, BUT because of its small size, getting the portafilter on and off is extremely challenging. There's nothing to hold onto for leverage. The machine is tiny and slips around on the counter, so you have to use all your body weight to try to pin it down while you wrestle the portafilter from it. It's pretty physical. I wouldn't recommend for anyone with arthritis or any kind of wrist or shoulder condition. I would either step up to different model or choose another brand.

I was thrilled at first then totally disappointed

I purchased this a little over a year ago and initially was thrilled with this espresso machine. After the first cleaning the lights didn't reset but I could live with that. Then our 2 cup double wall filter coffee filter stopped working and I wasn't able to find a replacement. I just used the 1 cup one and did it twice. It was annoying but I still loved the espresso that it made. Then the leaking started. I thought it was the tray and emptied it more. Then I thought it was the tank but it's fine. There is an internal leak that made the machine shut down. I am not able to use it anymore and am so disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A petite brewer that packs massive flavor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always wanted an espresso maker but have never actually used one. The Breville Bambino Plus was my first time trying the art of making espresso. If you read the instructions, it's not hard at all. You'll be making coffee shop quality drinks at home in minutes.
It comes with both a one cup and two cup dual wall filter baskets, a tamper to press dish the ground, and a cool razor tool to ensure you adjusted have the precise amount of ground to make the perfect tasting espresso.
The milk jug is stainless steel for making delicious frothed milk. There is also a little cleaning tool to clean out the bottom of the steam tip so it doesn't get clogged.
You have three milk temperature settings and also three milk foam settings to choose from.
The machine is incredibly well made and everything comes apart for easy cleaning. I am absolutely loving this new addition to my coffee bar. It will pay for itself with less frequent coffee shop trips.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great machine... when it works

I love the coffee but this machine is so frustratingly glitchy. For the past half hour (and literally every couple days before it) the machine turns on with all lights flashing. Whenever this happens it is just frozen and I literally have to unplug it to turn it off. Sometimes this happens before I brew a shot, other times after I steam and sometimes right after start up. It’s so random and in the past couple months we’ve owned we’ve wasted so many shots and milk. For this much money this is unacceptable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stopped Working After Four Months

I loved this machine while it worked. Unfortunately it stopped working after four months of use. (All the lights flash and the machine won’t run any cycle - including a cleaning or descaling cycle - and won’t even turn off unless it’s unplugged; put simply, it’s entirely useless). No amount of troubleshooting/research has worked. Amazing that for the the hefty price tag it would stop working after less than six months. According to my brief online search about the issue, other people have had similar issues without any luck. Curiously, however, it’s never mentioned in the owner’s manual. Really disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I need to update my Bambino Plus Review! The portafilter that would not move ...is now moving easier!

I ran warm water through it 15 times and it is better today! So far, so much better! Arm still sore...but, hoping we are good to go now....I was awful and yet now a bit better...going to try to keep it!! This was going to be a deal breaker if the portafilter did not loosen sufficiently!

My experiences were not good.
The 1st 1 stopped functioning after the 1st clean (200 cups), I had a refund after many problems. I liked the design and the coffee when it worked so bought another. Unfortunately after about 60 cups the frother overflows each use and is not creamy also the amount of coffee delivered can't be adjusted as it should.
I put the problems down the over complicated design so I won't be buying another again.

Compact and stylish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very compact and complete espresso machine. It comes with most of the accessories you could need for this type of machine.Includes stainless-steel foam jug with lines for min and max milk, one and two cup filter baskets, trimming tool for coffee (razor), tamper, and cleaning tool. It has a very large 64 oz water tank, that is easy to pull from base of the machine. I personally loved the smartness of this machine, when the tank gets pulled from the base the machine automatically knows and aside from the lights blinking, it shouts off. It has a beautiful stainless steel casting all around the machine itself. the top of it can be used as a cup holder and it holds 3 or so which is always nice to keep your coffee warm. One of the best features of this particular machine is that it is ready to use within 3 seconds. It has easy to use program buttons located on the front of it. One of the best features I liked was the temperature of milk button and the foaming button, which are adaptable to your liking either temperature or the foaming of the milk. 1. would be low, 2. would be just right and 3 would be warmer than that so its very adaptable to your liking.Another feature is the milk foaming wand, first of all it detects when the
wand is not set in its correct position.it has a nice soft plastic handle to prevent any burning from touching a hot surface.it is either quick start or manual which ever you might like, it auto purges (yes it totally cleans itself after every use which is awesome it also prevents it from clogging), but if clogging would occur it has a needle to help you clean that small hole, located under the water tank in the back.
It has some minor flaws which include the drip tray not being made from stronger plastic and that the milk sensor must be kept dry. This machine has so many programming options but once you program it to your liking its super easy to use. Doesn't make much noise, nor does it take up much space in your kitchen. Its beautiful, stylish and aesthetically so modern, I really like and enjoy using Breville products because of the how efficient and easy to use that they are, I would so recommend this machine so many Pros to very little cons.
