But the color is rubbing off places and showing cheap white plastic after only a few months of gentle use. The drip try is too small for the milk want cleaning cycle. The whole thing feels cheap. Total disappointment

We purchased a Breville Bambino Plus in November as a Christmas gift. We opened it and started using on Christmas Day. Not even 3 months later and the machine milk wand is no longer functioning. We’ve been reaching out to support to get a replacement for almost a month and have gotten nowhere.
Save your money and purchase something else.

Needed cleaning & stopped working 7days after purchasing

I bought to two bambino plus macines within 2weeks. Trouble shooted with company. Did clean cycle. Worked for a day then returned for another one. Same problem. Got my money but I did go elsewhere & purchased breville barista touch. So far so good. Crossing my fingers. Will try a different brand if this should happen. I think the store I purchased first 2 machines was a bad batch/lot number.

Love the coffee, hate the cleaning cycle

I have had the Bambino Plus for 2 years. Best tasting at home espresso I have ever had. Using the machine is straight forward once you do it a couple times. However, in my opinion this thing has a major oversight when it forces a cleaning cycle...every few months you need to run the cleaning cycle, which is fine, but the downfall is that it won't let you finish making your coffee before it triggers the cleaning cycle. It is just maddening. Have not found a way to trick it by turning if off, unplugging, etc. You're left with your freshly brewed espresso sitting there and unable to use the steaming function until after you run the cleaning cycle. Steaming the milk first just doesn't work - you end up with weird coffee I personally am considering getting an inferior brand due to this.

Was looking forward to upping my espresso game by upgrading from the standard Bambino I had for a year and a half to the Bambino Plus. After trying multiple grand sizes, volumes, tamping pressures, etc., still cannot pull a better shot than what I had with the Bambino. The Bambino Plus shots are somewhat inconsistent when I try identical methods, and is consistently on the bitter side. The temperature is all over the place - sometimes lip burning hot, othertimes lukewarm, all on the same temperature setting. Not sure if I have a defective unit or not, but wish I has just stayed with the regular Bambino.

A great little machine, with high end features

The Bambino Plus is really a wonderful espresso machine. It makes consistently excellent espresso. The time it takes to heat up and switch from espresso to milk streaming is fantastic. I like that it has a PID for a stable brew temperature, and the automatic milk frothing is really something. The quality of the foam it produces is better than anything I could create, but I still have the option of manually streaming. The machine isn’t too big and pairs well with our burr grinder. I wish it were a little heavier, but again, it is compact, so really a none issue. The fit and finish are very nice. Again, an excellent machine. Now, the tamper…. It’s cheap. This machine deserves a higher quality piece.
